Of those players there aren't many I would be arsed about seeing again. And the majority have proofed not good enough to go up in this league

KEEP Edgar - I would sign as he's a decent defender at this level
Harris and Flynn - I would have as squad players
Freeman - I think hes a decent player - thought he was harshly bombed out last year. certainly wasn't the worst performing defender
GET RID
Kennady / Wallace / Cuvellliar - might be good but no good if we never see them play
Baxter - free up wages and he's had his chances regardless of talent
Howard/jcr/mcfadzean - i'd release as not going to get any better
Sammon / Hammond - did nothing to suggest they should get a deal
Jay - indicative of whats wrong with squad. GET RID

I'd keep JCR as an impact sub other than that I agree with you 100%

I think Cuvellier might be one of those who now stays. He has a lot of technical ability and in a side that will hopefully play fast attractive football I can see him doing well.
Just face it fella it's never going to happen for him here.

Anyone else finding this released list thing the highlight of the season? It's like we are being cleansed.

I'm thinking of going down to The Lane to see if I can catch any if them cleaning their drawers out.

Anyone got a big "FUCK OFF" banner? :)

UTB

We need a "cleansing" after the crap we've been forced to endure for the last few seasons !!

Get the bloody lot out and start again !!!! :D

Oh GOD !!!! ......... I hope not :tumbleweed:

To be fair there's only Flynn, JMac and Long out of that starting 11 who are out of contract, so that wouldn't be the biggest disaster.

I'd much rather we looked for better than Flynn and McEveley, but I'd be far more concerned if we started retaining crocks like Cuvelier, Kennedy, Wallace and Howard.

Woolford - 0 good games in 46.

Coutts - 1 good game in 46.

So let's meet in the middle. Statistically, I'll concede that Coutts is infinitely better.

I’d say

Woolford- 1-2 good games

Coutts- about 5 good games.

Both coming over the December/Jan period when Man U was on the horizon. Woolford’s good game came against Bradford I think. Coutts was excellent in that game. He also played well at home v Donny, home v Posh (even though we lost).

Still, not good enough in the long run however you look at it.

I'd give Cuvelier another year... Unlike others he hasn't been hit by 400 injuries, he got one serious injury that halted his progress, but we've seen the potential is there.

Are you madder than Brian Mad from Madcastle?

He’s been generally awful on the few occasions he’s played. He had a good 45 minutes at Rochdale but even then he tainted it by trying to pass to a steward kicking the ball straight out under no pressure (damn that away kit eh?).

At the corporate forum our Kev did say that players contracts could be paid up if required. Although I did think he was more talking J Wallace, Scougall, McNulty, Woolford etc rather than the younger upcoming lads like K Wallace.

Might it be because his hip injury is chronic so we've come to an agreement?
Was just going to post the same. Maybe he's unlikely to play professionally again. Which is a shame.

Don't think so as hes training again now

Seems a strange one and I can only think that he was on Adkins shit list (reasons unknown) and the Adkins retained list was handed over to the board for them to clean up. I'm guessing wilder didn't get much choice on the retained list and wallace's injury perhaps went against him

If that's the case then I agree with the club taking it out of wilders hands (something i think they should've done last summer), but I thought Kieran Wallace looked good. A young one we should be keeping in my opinion

I remember that incident well and I do recall he had a really good first half - as did the team as a whole. We moved the ball around quickly in that half (didn't score of course) but CW seems to want a quick passing game and maybe that would suit Cuvelier.

Afraid that's the only positive I have for him. I saw him close up in the pre -match warm up at Leyton Orient 2 seasons ago and he appeared completely uninterested and looked as though he didn't want to be there

Most of his performances have looked gutless to me. He doesn't like a tackle. Doesn't work hard enough. Doesn't take enough responsibility on the ball. Being able to play some neat one touch passes every now and again isn't enough by a long chalk for me.

Me neither but it got Coutts a regular first team place so maybe he thought it was the way forward.

I'd get rid of him on the basis that he is fucking shit.

I've also had a Cruciate Ligament injury before, but happily enough I came back and have managed to make exactly the same number of excellent performances for Uniteds first team as Cuvelier has,,,,,,
He's not as good as that.

I'd say it's give or take whether McEveley is going to get another year.

That's his reputation on the line right there.

Wankstain decides to post a list of names on twitter. I'd say in some houses his reputation is assured whatever the outcome.

Have we? Id say Wallace has shown potential but is too big a gamble. Cuvelier is a fancy foreign name and is taking up a squad number without proving anything to anyone. Said it before if his name was Bobby Smith no one would think twice about him.

Thing is if he was half as good as the Bobby Smith , he would have a chance .

Get rid , fucked off with all of them . Want putting in the village stocks and rotten vegetables throwing at them .

Keep any of them and it's fuck promotion . Footballers , get the bastards under the trades description act.

No argument from me here. Along with the lack of any positive intent from the boardroom the players on the pitch have got manager after manager the sack. You can talk all you want about systems and tactics, formations and motivation. If the fact you are being paid good money to play football isn't a motivation you should pack your bags and go do a real job. If everyone bar Billy, Long and Brayford left this summer I wouldn't care less. They talk about brands in the boardroom and nothing represents our "brand" less than a bunch of work shy wankers ready to blame everyone but themselves for our position.

I don't know whether Wilder will be a success and I don't know if his approach will work any better than anyone before him, but without McCabe doing the right thing (oh fuck theres a problem to start with) and whatever eleven he puts out on the pitch pulling their weight he will not last the season.
