McCabe to develop former Don Valley (Olympic Legacy Park)?

Don't worry. You aren't alone.....
Just seems bad timing to me when we need players and he's developing some Olympic Legacy Park. Guess that comes at a set price, whereas the transfer market is more inflated ! I guess it means we own something else though

Going off on a tangent slightly, I was just chatting with my neighbour (in Marple) who's daughter has just moved in to a student terrace on Shoreham Street. He also knows the Hillsborough area quite well, and described Bramall Lane as being light years ahead of Wednesday - our stadium is state of the art apparently compared to swillsborough.

He might be a Scouser, but he knows his shit.

I'd sooner KM developed Don Valley Bowl into a cricket ground with one eye on the 20-20 cricket explosion. Can see county cricket being represented by cities in the future and Sheffield could be at the forefront of this change. KM could also be the SUFC chairman to bring Yorkshire back to Sheffield again, if only for a few games a season. It was us after all who sent em packing.
Maybe a new home for our dormant other half Sheffield United cricket club.

You know the stadium doesn't exist any more?

The world class, much under used facility where people watch fucking fireworks once a year.

I think you have a point around the sell on clauses IF we miss out of the 3-4 players we need due to being tight, rather than for the multitude of other reasons. Wilder himself has said he won't pay over the odds, but there's over the odds for an individuals worth, and their worth to our squad development.
I just think it has no relation to this business opportunity.

Used to go to the gym at the old Don Valley and I used to tell the athletes training there that they'd be better scrapping the running track, move the rugby pitch up to the grandstand, knockout out the stand at the other side, build a pavilion further back and turn it into a cricket ground. Agreed they could do similar with DV Bowl. If they had cricket, RL and concerts on there they might actually get somewhere near utilising one of Sheffield's assets.

I think it's obvious to anyone blessed with the gift of sight.

For some reason when the Blades are on a high, McCabe gets tourettes as these property auctions and ends up buying the lot.
