I'm disappointed that the fans couldn't be more patient with the manager as I know the good work BR and BK were doing. I can however, understand the frustration but the people with these views were the ones who didn't know what was going on in the background.

I believe Blackwell has got the level of enthusiasm and knows the set up and is the right man to get the team playing for the rest of the season

I have to say that I find these recent claims that Bryan Robson has achieved great things ‘in the background’ to be very confusing indeed. Granted, I may not be privy to the internal working of Sheffield United PLC but I am struggling to see even a glimmer of improvement that has come about as a direct result of Robson’s tenure at the lane.

Surely a manager should be judged on how well his team has performed or is performing; any extra curricular achievements should only be acknowledged or even undertaken after he had this side of the job nailed down.

I don’t want to dwell on this but, if such great work has been done that none of us are aware of; then come out and tell us exactly what he has been doing that we are all oblivious to. It would be much easier to defend the man if you qualified exactly what he has achieved away from the publc eye whilst on the pitch we have endured some terrible league performances and results so far this season.

He has gone and i know i should move on, but if i am being scorned for ignoring his good work away from the pitch; it would seem only fair that i am told exatcly what it is!

Sorry, just smacks of Kev still trying to justify that he made a good appointment and didn't really get anything wrong by appointing him inthe first place. Very laudible loyalty, but time to give it a rest and get on with things, methinks he doth protest too much!

True. I'd love to know what behind-the-scenes stuff Robson did. Tripled the bar takings? Swept the stands on monday mornings? Wore the Captain Blade oufit?
