Mcburnie

Remember the Burnley match where we were losing at half time and ended up winning 5-2. McBurnie at his best - almost single handed took them apart in the second half. When he is fit he is an outstanding player and well above Championship level. It's a yes from me.
Yep, seem to recall he got a 10/10 rating from Opta( or similar) for that performance.

It's a weird one for me this.

I was never particularly a fan. He may be the worst striker of a football I've ever seen. He's also up there with the slowest. He spent most of his time here being crap, and even managed a 43 game spell without scoring. 43. Up front. That's diabolical levels of incompetency.

However, he's a definite upgrade on Keiffer Moore, so, whatever.
Says a lot about poor Keifer then

Remember the other Burnley game at Turf Moor where he got sent off for elbowing O'Shea and we lost 5-0.....it was a low point for me with him.

This is a very poor take...

Has his socks down by his ankles - sure.

Runs his socks off - unless you call jogging around miles behind the play "running his socks off", then you're way off the mark on this one
Is he or is he not, always in the box you need him in, whn you need him in it!?

Come on, apart from a few injuries, not his fault, he was a great player for us, always got us on our feet, runs is socks off, isn't afraid to stick himself where it hurts, had heart, passion, just a typical Blade, and id take him back in a heartbeat!
He would be great around the team, I think he'd get on great with Hamer, Barry and Ohare, the young lads know him, why does anyone think having him back on a free, is a bad idea???
Run! Is not a word i associate with Mcburnie 😊

I remember he kept part he played in our last championship promotion.

He would have fitted the early season 1 up top Role Moore badly struggled with perfectly last season

The last best 45 mins of football that stunning 2nd half

If Ipswich have registered a genuine offer, can't see us matching it. At the end of the day, loving the club, does not pay your bills, does it.

Might aswell get fleck and Norwood back while we’re at it get the band back together🤦‍♂️

Wouldn’t have them back

But David McGoldrick and Mark Duffy…..now ya talking ha ha

Regards McBurnie in some ways he’s shit ha ha but he does offer special attributes that can help us gain promotion.
His best ever season for us was probably in the Premier league…where some PL defenders struggled to handle him….so he’s shown what he’s capable of
But we’ve also seen his constant niggling injuries and loss of form more recently at Championship level
…where he (like Brewster at his best) just looked (at best) average/ decent Championship level.

As long as the price is right then it’s a reluctant “YES sign him up” from me…..but not that bothered if we miss out.

Yeah that's the Burnley match I remember when thinking of McBurnie.
At that point, the most important game of the season. Lose it and we were on our way down.
When we really needed leaders on the pitch to stand up and be counted, McBurnie conceded the game at 2-0 down and deserted his team-mates.
Before he jumped ship, he managed a grand total of 8 passes, 4 of which found a Blades player and no shots.
