Or posters on here thinking Giralamo, Osula, Jebbo all future superstars just like One.
I never remember Diego?! Heck, I thought Tony Battersby was going to strike us to success.

One might well make it but he needs regular games. Yes, Peck did well but that doesn't then mean every young player will. And he played regularly for us through circumstance. And as soon as One misses a few chances he'll be 'rubbish'.

Who was that? Certainly not me as I’ve never mentioned Giralama, as for Osula and Jebbo, both top young talents and will be interesting to see how they develop over the next couple of seasons.

As for One he’s constantly written off by people with their eyes painted on, always see someone saying he’s not good enough, even had one last season who was totally clueless on footballers who said One is only non league standard. Crackers as the lad is a player.

Di Girolamo was playing age group football for then-European Championship finalists Italy and was regarded by our academy coaching staff as one of the most naturally gifted footballers to have come through Shirecliffe. Who knows where his career would have gone had he not had his knee injuries?

Osula is 22. He's a pup. He's also on the books of a PL team and is probably now their second choice striker.

Jebbison is a legend in his own head.

Oné may or may not make it but he's got all the attributes he needs...and a contract to 2029. I really hope he pushes on this season as he's got a manager renowned for giving young players not only a chance in the first team but a structured support and coaching base to make a success of that.

Calm down mate
I fear you'll not have many pizzas to order

He is part of our past. Leave him there

I remember when the Mousse scored a couple against Donnie in pre-season and suddenly he was going to fire us to promotion, according to many on here. But go ahead, pin your hopes on One who scored goals against York, Burton's reserves and Chessie. Give the lad a chance.

The same fans who like to big up the likes of Long, Jebbo, Ramsdale, Osula etc are the first to drag them down when they're inconsistent like most young inexperienced players.
I rate One but acknowledge he has much to learn as with any young player. The four you mention have all gone on to have successful careers as will most of the current young players around the current squad.
There is no reason to “pin our hopes” on One but to acknowledge he is likely to play his part in the coming season and “no” I will not be dragging down him or any of the youngsters when they make mistakes.

Who is pinning their hopes on One? Proper Thomas Skinner claiming people are offended by him drinking a pint vibes.

Score for fun ?? Yeah ok.

You could literally just look a few posts upwards or the responses across topics.
I did, and I didn’t see anyone pinning their hopes on One. I see a spectrum on One, from those thinking he’s not ready for Championship football to those thinking he’ll surprise some people this year. I just don’t see anyone doing anything more and it feels like a classic made up exaggerating of views to make a point. Apologies if I’ve missed a groundswell of responses suggesting he’s the second coming.

McBurnie played a key role in our promotion under Hecky. At Champ level he is good. Truth be told in our dreadful relegation from the PL last time he was one a few that did a bit better.

If he signs for a Championship club they will be the better for it. (Assuming he is fit enough)
So I have no problem if that is us. And I'd rather have him than Moore.

McBurnie can link up better and play it on the deck better than Moore.

Surely we can't have all the new and fresh ideas, approach and management that we've seen introduced in the last few months only to regress hugely to this footballing equivalent of a complete retard.

A return to fighting with the centre backs, reactive running and looking knackered and worn out in the first 10 minutes.

I don't want to believe this rumour because I can't believe the new management would be this short-sighted. If they are and this is the calibre of player that we are looking to fit into the new system then we can look forward to another season of near misses and disappointment (imo).

Hopefully Selles can see through this idiot.

Maybe selles will ask him not to do any of that stuff
The retard comment is a bit much

Fair enough pal, but I hate watching him play. He's so slow to react and has absolutely no sense of anticipation. His biggest strength is winning the headers in his own penalty box!

He's exactly what we don't need imo. I can't believe Selles would be interested.

We're supposed to be progressing, not regressing.
