Ridiculous argument never even mentioned Billy Sharp.MCBurnie record of 1 in 34 as a fucking centre forward is scandalous.Shows now passion and even less ability he’s a liability on and off the field.2 games where he started recently we never looked like scoring and I believe his starting is a negative influence on other members of the team.
I doubt he will play Saturday and if he does he’s more likely score an og , he’s utterly useless
It will be intetesting to see where the useless ball bag will be in five years time. Most likely putting a shift in in league oneThe FACTS are you have convinced yourself by reiterating it a few hundred times on here that there is a footballer still in there based on Swansea and Barnsley stats, and the more you crusade the more you are believing yourself, we accept there is a few of you - who cling onto this, and your loyalty is in some ways admirable.
But what JB II says is nearer the truth-
MCB Cannot
Shoot at all- his shot is tame at best
Run
Leap
Head towards goal
Close down
MCB Can
Head well defensively
Fall on the floor like a big dope
Be very late in the tackle
Stupidly throw opposition to the floor
Generally act like a total prick
AS I see it thems the FACTS.
Yes hes wankTo put McBurnie's goalscoring record into some perspective, he has scored 52 career goals in 205 appearances. Not prolific but not a hideous number. It's not until you see that 24 of those goals were scored in 44 games across one season. Stripping out that season, it's 28 goals in 161 appearances. Doesn't look quite as good now. The counter argument could be that these appearances might be 5 minute cameos at the end of a game but then if he was so great, why wasn't he starting in the first place?
Would he have been better off spending another season at Swansea scoring goals in the Championship and proving that he can? Probably. We ended up taking an expensive gamble on a bloke who'd had one good goalscoring season but had done nothing to prove that he could do it consistently.
Granted he scored some important goals - Man United and West Ham at home, Brighton away to name a few that earned us points but has done precisely nothing since. He did a good job when he came on against West Brom but that's not what you pay £17m for - we'd have kept Gary Madine otherwise.
As for signings like Callum Robinson, Luke Freeman and Osborn to an extent, it seemed to me like a harvesting experiment already to prepare ourselves for relegation and having some of the better talent in the Championship already at our disposal, however we'd have still encountered the same scenario if we'd gone down straight away of where do we put them and how do we use them, like we have with Osborn now. Worst case scenario, we don't sign those guys, we sign Maupay and we go down. We sell Maupay to Brighton/Palace/Villa and use the money to sign decent Championship players anyway.
There are a lot of variables to consider but we just seemed to fire shots in all directions when the players who did the business for us were the ones we already had while nobody else added any extra value. Wilder, Knill, Mitchell were in uncharted waters (for them) but were completely clueless once it came to having to something different to what worked previously in order for the wheels to keep turning. The fact that the last player to score double figures in a season was signed by Nigel Adkins says it all about where we've been coming up short in the recruitment department.
Whooooosh!Oh fucks sake the Swansea video is rolled out again![]()
A Delusion……What is the correct term for a group of apologists gathered together ?
A gaggle ??

Whether what you say is fair or bollocks, is down to which side the the debate you sit on. However, the main point you make is the critical one - the only difference is goals and the statistical likelihood of scoring them. Anything more for the defence to add then?I am no Sharp hater but....
Head well defensively - Sharp can't
Fall on the floor like a big dope - just like Sharp
Be very late in the tackle - just like Sharp
Stupidly throw opposition to the floor - just like Sharp
Generally act like a total prick - like Sharp has been known to
So the only difference is goals.....
ZzzzzzzzzPersonal abuse, weird
Strange blokeZzzzzzzzz
Would you call him a ball bag to his face? Doubt it. So shut up.Boring bloke

N'Diaye has 3 goals this season. A bit harsh to name a cut off which robs him of 2/3 of his goals.McBurnie has played just shy of 1,300 minutes since December 2020. That's 14 games. Half of that was last season, McBurnie played 654 minutes after scoring against Leicester. That was across 12 games where we as a team scored a total of 5 goals. He's also patently not totally match fit at the moment.
Maybe I'm just different in that I don't see it as black and white. I see a player who's out of form and struggling for sharpness having had two debilitating illnesses in quick succession. I also accept that his attitude and application last season when we were struggling wasn't good enough. However, I don't see that as a reason write him off as a "fucking liability" who's "useless" and is "a negative influence on other members of the team" as Captain2 does.
Ndiaye has one league goal in his last 20 league appearances (coincidentally 1,300 minutes and, it has to be said, it was a fantastic goal) but I don't see multiple threads decrying him as useless. Put it this way: Ndiaye's misses against both West Brom and Hull were far worse than anything McBurnie has done recently.
Of course Jebbison won’t get the same criticism, he’s a young inexperienced lad just breaking into the first team and should be given time to adjust. No not at all. I'm just pointing out something.
Ndiaye as skilful as he is, should score a lot more. He gets himself into some great scoring positions where his xG is probably quite high. Nobody questions these missed chances because he's "one of our own". Same will happen with Jebbison, if he misses the chances McBurnie misses, he'll get applauded with encouragement - why? What's the difference? They're all professional footballers (attackers) who should be scoring those chances.

Ahh that's better might just get a sensible debate from who is left. It seems to be the same crew over and over again with the abuse. Ramsdale, Berge, Brewster McBurnie in fact anyone with a transfer fee north of £10m gets the abuse. It is same in the ground at games it is not really a happy place to be anymore one good season in the Premier league and a lot have become self entitled like Chelsea and Arsenal fans. We really should be getting behind anyone in a red n white shirt rather than targeting big money (for us) signings and dishing out abuse sometimes even before a ball is kicked. I thought Arsenal fans were bad but Jesus Christ some of our support since we had a return of Premier League football is just plain and simple vile.
Absolutely gutted. And for the record, my current best Blades XI would have both Berge and Brewster in it.coolasanidiot, Cheesebored, Blad , DIRTY HARRY , petcharlie, Drunk blade , Alan Roberts' Jinking Run, WestYorksBlade , Grumps ,originaltrueblade, Captain2 . What an absolute moron haha. Grown man getting upset with what people say on a Internet forum about his beloved McBurnie who in layman’s term is what you call wank. As for the others I love Brewster think he’s gonna be a star, and Berge is the best player we have got. These McBurnie fanboys really are special.coolasanidiot, Cheesebored, Blad , DIRTY HARRY , petcharlie, Drunk blade , Alan Roberts' Jinking Run, WestYorksBlade , Grumps ,originaltrueblade, Captain2 . Billy Sharp is 36 you stupid twat!!Yes Derek if you want to compare a player who is injured with a player that has been fully fit all season and fairplay to Bill fittest 38 year old in the championship
It's laughable. A grown man stifling discussion around a players ability and simply making stuff up about others. Nobody's making him take his signed photo off the bedroom wall. What an absolute moron haha.
