McBurnie has played just shy of 1,300 minutes since December 2020. That's 14 games. Half of that was last season, McBurnie played 654 minutes after scoring against Leicester. That was across 12 games where we
as a team scored a total of 5 goals. He's also patently not totally match fit at the moment.
Maybe I'm just different in that I don't see it as black and white. I see a player who's out of form and struggling for sharpness having had two debilitating illnesses in quick succession. I also accept that his attitude and application last season when we were struggling wasn't good enough. However, I don't see that as a reason write him off as a "fucking liability" who's "useless" and is "a negative influence on other members of the team" as
Captain2 does.
Ndiaye has one league goal in his last 20 league appearances (coincidentally 1,300 minutes and, it has to be said, it was a fantastic goal) but I don't see multiple threads decrying him as useless. Put it this way: Ndiaye's misses against both West Brom and Hull were far worse than anything McBurnie has done recently.
