Not saying it just to be smug (maybe a little bit though) but I've been saying we need to get him on the ball and get movement around him, and judge him when we make chances for him. Great to see that when he gets the right service he makes use of it. Great work for him in the build up to the Moose goal, lovely finish for his own, and just generally more involved all round.

Great point. McBurnie is outstanding dropping short to receive the ball and link play. He can also win headers and chase down defence.

Either him or McGoldrick must start every game as they provide a link to attack and give us a toehold to build possession around.

Amazing energy tonight from McBurnie.

I was screaming at the tele asking wilder to take him off as he looked burnt out. 30 seconds later he tapped in

One thing the lad has is character. Doesn't stop giving it his all when it isn't coming off for him. He battles for everything, doesn't think anything of chasing everything down, and dropping back to help out. Whenever we don't play well he is one of the players that refuses to hide.

I think he looks deceptive, he is gangly, and doesn't always seem in control of the ball, but what he actually does tells more of his actual value. Basham is the same, and so was Brian Deane.

Give him two or three years developing and we have got a top, top striker.

Didn't want to post on the other Oli thread, which as others have said needs ending.

What a performance from the big man today, showed everyone why we paid the money for him and I honestly think he's outshone Jiminez and Tammy Abrahams, albeit we as a team have also been outstanding in those games, like so many more. They couldn't deal with him today, just like Wolves and Spurs. At 24 he's just gonna get better and better! I haven't seen a harder working target man either in the Prem.
