Mcburnie

It‘s normal....find it weird that people don’t realise players have good games and poor games.
I can accept McBurnie lacking quality though because he’s usually got a great attitude, a real battler who works hard.

Also he’s still young and learning the game.
McBurnie, Mouset and Berger are all likely to improve over the next 2 or 3 years,
Wilder sees these players as a future investment....so they shouldn’t be judged too much on this season.

Plus he had a knock early on but still fucking bossed it

He will have his up and downs performance level wise as he is still a young kid learning the game at the top of his profession, but seriously, if anyone doesn't rate the kid, then I you have no hope of understanding football. He's a diamond.

Really played well Mcb, the whole team did. Berge starting to fit in well now, linked well with both McG and Lys, something keef pointed on on rad, we could have done with someone just playing a bit closer to mcb to pick up the odds and sods at times

He was man of the match today for sure, and I hope that he's proved, as he already has done for many, that he is going to be a real player for us. Won several headers, was a focal point, strong and held the ball up well, passed it on. His work for the second goal was outstanding and he fully deserved his goal. I really hope Scotland fans were watching that tonight, I've wanted them to do well for many years now, even before McBurnie and Fleck, but they need to realise how good he is and to be patient in games where they have little ball, which is most of them.

Also when some of our other players have a bad patch, I wish, at least on here, that we could give them some slack; I'm convinced its better to be encouraging than slagging players off who've been outstanding i.e Stephens.

So proud tonight of every player and loved celebrating with my 9 year old son and his best mate from next door who my son's converted to a Blade! UTB

My apologies to him and Berge, I was convinced we had dropped a clanger signing these 2. How wrong was I after tonight's performance, they have raised the bar now it's up to CW to get the effort out of them every week.

Just imagine what he, and Berge, will be like with a season in the prem and a preseason under their belts

Well well well.
Funny what happens when you start giving your strikers a bit of service...

What a player

Un wreck urb nize abul from just a week ago.

That Wilder magic dust sure is something 😀.

Well played Mr McBurnie 👏.

UTB
Don’t even bother. You’ll be calling him McBaffling the next time he puts in a 7/10 performance or less. He’s the new Leon for you, only gave him praise now you’ve got no choice 😂

Absolutely quality tonight. I have to admit I was starting to have my doubts, but tonight Sir you was quality

Next season he will be banging them in for fun.

He may well be a gangly Scooby Doo looking muthafucka but he is tenacious one .

Defenders are shit scared of him once they figure out he will not back down from a physical battle.

I've always backed him, fantastic ability and with the belief and attitude he has he is destined to be an all time great...
On the flipside I'm just about to eat some humble pie on the Berge thread.

Best forward on the pitch - he looks permanently knackered, but I don't think the socks down look helps. Our direct approach helped him get involved more - ie the punts suited him and by the end he was winning most of the 50 50s.

Hope this has earned him at least a couple of weeks without unnecessary criticism on here.
