It’s just annoying that to the neutral, a cursory glance shows how Liverpool had a routine win.

With unbiased reffing it would have been 1-1 with them shutting their pants 10 v 11.

Wonder what Juergen would have to complain about then? A two handed shove shouldn’t be a pen? A scissor tackle shouldn’t be a foul and a second yellow card?

it was 1 hand and a knee, mcatee could not change direction on his own mid stride and fell at a 90 degree angle from his trajectory , only a deliberate side swipe could do that

So when this 'outstanding tackle' 'got the ball' the ball itself didn't move, but stayed where it was whilst the tacklers foot somehow slipped over the top of it ???

The block on Anel was absolutely obvious, Van Dyke shoved his hip out deliberately to block him. If you’ve played football you’ll know, these things are blatantly obvious. It wasn’t an accident, he wasn’t doing it for any other reason than to block Ahmehodizic.

It amuses me when people will say about incidents that, ‘Oh he wasn’t looking at the player, it was unintentional’ when I played football, I could have picked the centre half nose while he was stood behind me. No matter how fast the game, how frenetic the action, you know exactly where your opponent is. I got punched at corners, nudged off balance and caught by ‘stray arms’ all the time and the higher standard I played, the more regular it became. In my experience footballers cheat from the first minute to the last and will do anything to gain an advantage.

Both referees and VARs haven’t played football and don't have that experience to help in the decision making process, consequently they are very naive with regard to the ‘dark arts’
