If we're considering foreigners, and in the true spirit of silly 'post the first name that pops into your head' season on here, I thought I'd throw this one into the mix.

French born Senegal international. Centre forward or wide attacker previously of AC Milan who's promised much but not consistently delivered having been out on loan on a number of occasions. He's a quick, all round athlete with good feet, a powerful shot and the spectacular in his locker. Right footed and often plays from the left. 24 years old, 6 foot 2. Has PL experience after a loan spell at Watford.

Contracted to Torino, who were his fourth loan from AC Milan, and they had an obligation to buy last summer. But they shipped him straight out to Rennes in France, where he scored 11 in 29 league appearances (19 starts). He could well be coming good. Not sure if Rennes will buy, or what the plan is for him now. Staying in France is probably most likely.

But if there's even the slightest possibility, I'd like us to have a go for him.

He is very talented will be a serious asset for anyone who can get him performing consistently. Would be a very exciting signing for us.

He could fit into any attacking setup of ours and would give us the pace and skill we'll need.

(That was a few days ago)

I expected better from someone such as yourself, Carruthbert.

Good player or not there's just no chance we're after anyone like him. The Croatian links are interesting but I doubt them too
Rightly or wrongly our scouting network is very much UK based

There were the links to Stephane Bahoken too, another striker in France.

Wages are likely to rule Niang out, before any doubts about his attitude. But as I said, if there's any chance at all...

In what way exactly?

That sort of issue would explain his inconsistency and underachievement so far. It seemed to be the reason AC Milan gave up on him.

He's like a poor man's Balotelli.

212/2013 he was stopped by the police in Milan for driving without a drivers licence. He told the police that he was teammate Bakaye Traore and got caught out.

2013/2014, while playing for Montpellier on loan, he crashed his Ferrari into a tree and was sentenced to a suspended 18-month jail sentenced for an alleged hit-and-run accident which left 11 others injured. The player was also charged with endangering people's lives and driving without a licence.

2015/2016, he crashed another Ferrari whilst rumored to be drunk and buggered up his ankle and shoulder, which put him out for two months.

2016/2017, after returning to fitness due to the car accident, he jumped off the roof of his house into his swimming pool and posted a video on social media. AC Milan weren't best pleased.

2017/18, he is rumoured to have a thing for transexuals and has been harassed by previous lovers on the streets of Milan and on social media.

Yes, but apart from that?

Didn't he once have a spell at Watford?

Whilst at Milan, I remember him being billed as a potential superstar but he's obviously not quite lived up to the hype. That said, I still can't imagine the bright lights of Sheff appealing to him that much.

If Niang's a no go how about Khouma Babacar?

26 year old centre forward who's previously impressed in Serie A with Fiorentina. 6 foot 3 and athletic with a good touch. Signed for Sassuolo for about £6m but hasn't had a great season. Would probably be attainable for us. Has no car crashy, rapey or murderous tendancies as far as I know.

Milan > Turin > Rennes > Sheffield

It's the natural progression.

Do we know if anywhere nearby has a decent transexual scene, maybe Leeds?

Just slap a bit of make up on Harry Wilson and job’s a good un.

No man on earth could resist Harry Wilson with make up on.

We need to sign him to tempt Niang.

This is a solid recruitment strategy.

Massive investment for them. About £13m according to transfermarkt.

Will be interesting to see how he does next season, and if he can start fulfilling that potential.

They could make a fortune on him.
