Hi Stegosaurus here

Smart move by Lowe to be fair. We're a sinking ship, whereas with Rohl in charge, Sheff Wednesday are a team on the way up.
Heady days for you lot at the Old Slag, holding staving off relegation parties and signing players who've played in the Premier League.

To add to Kizmet calling me a pig, I tried, around 2019 to buy the Royal Standard because I was that put out about losing it as one of our pubs.

I failed, now it's a - well, whatever it is, but I felt that strongly that I tried.

People really need to stop calling people out as "pigs" without due cause.

How can you be a sinking ship and a team on the way up? When you apply Pig Logic. FFS I don't know how long you've been posting on here but you really should think about fucking off back to your Grunter site now. Your persona was mind numbingly boring from day one, it hasn't improved.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

Hi Stegosaurus here

You seem really upset that Wednesday have pinched Lowe from us.

All these criticisms are fine, and I would add that he's not very robust.

But, the Germans are sticklers for analysis and Roehl will doubtless be bringing differential calculus into matters.

He's got a degree in football analysis, and did the job for Bayern.

He made big improvements to players last season, taking them from 20th in the division as regards sprinting to fourth place.

I'm reserving judgement until I see how he is after Roehl's worked with him.

I can honestly say that I was delighted when I saw the released list and saw that our boy Lowe was on it. That's how much I rated the lad.

I was delighted again to hear that he has signed for them.

For me, Max Lowe really has provided the best SUFC news this year. Maybe the new training area being bought from HSBC knocks Max Lowe fucking off to the Grunters into second place.

Genuine question, does he improve them ?
he improves them because marvyn johnson is shit and they know it but there very worried on porkypigtalk about lowes fitness and so they should bogle will tear both of em apart in the derbies next season

" local media suggesting he looked "lost" and "could quickly find himself sinking without a trace."

Accurate description of a player plagued by thigh, ankle and hamstring problems throughout his career. Not to worry Roll Potter will wave his magic wand and England will have a solution to a problem position.:D

Just meh. Totally neutral to Max Lowe and his move.

Has there ever been a more meh United player. Not great, not terrible. Just meh.

If he was a cereal he’d be a bran flake. Steady. Boring. Meh. No one looks forward to bran flakes for breakfast and no one looks forward to watching Max Lowe play football (when he’s actually fit)

Don’t wish him any ill will he’ll just be forgotten about and isn’t half the player prime Enda was.

Probably the only player we released that I'm not bothered about if he goes there. Would have hurt so much more if it was Fleck or Norwood
Yeah, not sure he has any understanding of club loyalty - played at derby, went to Forest. Played for us, goes straight to the pigs. I get that he has a living to make.

But like you say. No feeling about him going to the pigs, can’t see much in him that suggests that he’ll suddenly be anything more than bang average

A good way of looking at it, did anyone actually go “oh great, Max Lowe is back from injury”. As you say, Bran flake.

I'm willing to talk to anyone who thinks i'm a pig - up to you mate.

I really do not get this vitriol against our own though.

Heck, I thought I'd replied to the person I meant to, obviously not..................

What?

If they are happy with Lowe then good luck to them and more to him. I don't feel any negativity to the lad, he tried for us, but, he was not very good most of the time. That's all.
If that is a good signing for them then I am quietly happy that they are in a worse state than us and we could not even field a team just now.
We have had some cracking players from the dark side that have turned out to be top players and loyal servants to the club.
I hope they get this take over sorted soon and we can get some players through the door.

Here’s some football analysis for you- Max Lowe is shite- I don’t need a degree to tell you that

I can recall once maybe twice where he’s looked okay. Not amazing, not terrible.. simply okay. Plagued by injuries, always seemingly coming back from injury. Not just saying this, but he’s one player I were very much “meh” about losing on a free.. bloke were out months from standing on a sprinkler… a fucking sprinkler!

He’s been with us for five years and has been shite - nesh in the tackle and generally disinterested. Very injury prone too. I do feel some of the vitriol aimed at him on here is unfair though. He is a free agent and so can go where he pleases. If his best offer is the grunters then so be it. He will not have to uproot his family etc

Can anyone remember 10 things he did? Good or bad? All I have is

1.Goal against Sunderland when everyone thought it was Brewster
2.Deflected goal v Blackburn
3.Running back away at Hull and pulling his hamstring
4.Standing on a sprinkler

It's not really a criticism but there can't be many players who've played over 40 matches for us and left so little memories
His hilarious miss kick in the in the immediate lead up to Forrest's opener at the City Group last season was a highlight.

I remember the home game against Boro, the season we went up (we lost 3-1).

We took an early lead and were all over them for the first 15-20 mins.

Carrick then pulled that Marcus Forss to the side and told him to just hog the right touchline as Max Lowe had zero positional awareness. He did this and had an absolute birthday down that side and completely changed the game.

Someone else said it earlier in the thread but his positional awareness/discipline really was akin to a bag of crisps floating around on a windy day.
