LWB was a predictable weak spot for us all season

I was happy enough to see him leave but then again I've never valued him at 4m+
 



He's a 25 yr old, slightly above average quality, championship level left back, who's averaged less than 16 league games a season across his whole career. In a fair & honest world he would've been the player to give away the 2nd penalty in a play off final defeat that consigned Forest to another season in the champ.

He's not the second coming of Maldini.
 
We should be asking for at least what we gave them for Osborn. What was that? 3.5m?

You don't get players going to the PL and rated as one of the best left backs, who are in contract, for 2m.

I think personally that would be giving him away based on this season's performance. I can understand low figures for his United career because he was hardly given a chance to be fair to the lad.

But Forest are very happy with him. Not expecting a Spence type fee but I'd be disappointed if it wasn't in the 3-5m range.
 
If Bleds fans decide they don't like the look of you, you've fucked it at this club. Max will do well in his career.

Look at Jack Robinson. Plays very well most games and sometimes gets a begrudged decent write up. Egan regularly plays like he's got ten pin bowling shoes on but gets touted to Everton and West Ham every other day.

Only in S2.

I’m not sure he’s in the top 5 championship players of the season. Should be valued around 5 million at this current time

Shall we see if Forest want to keep him at all ?
It’s only a couple of weeks before Forest return to training and he is no longer with them.
 
Would be shocked if Forest or anyone offer 4m

No doubt we'll insist on it and end up keeping him here until his contract length renders him near worthless
 
Would have the be £5m. I don’t rate him personally. Was poor for us and this is the first season he’s ever really done anything. 25 too. Take the money and reinvest elsewhere as he clearly won’t want to come back and get his head down
 
It's all about the contract length. 2 years is shit or get off the pot time: renew or sell. If the club dfeels he has a long term future here and the scabs are low balling get him renewed and build a team around him. If it's the opposite get him sold.
 
If it’s only a couple of million and the club think they can keep him fit then I’d rather look to move on Stevens.

His decline has been ridiculous, arguably one of the premier leagues best LWB’s for a season and then absolute trash can since. His confidence looks shot but it unfortunately looks like injuries have taken their toll on his mobility. He’s been poor going forwards often just hopefully pinging the ball down the line, not really bombing on but also poor defensively as he’s just not quick and agile enough anymore.

To be fair he didn’t get many opportunities and when he did he was playing in a side getting battered every week as part of an awful defence with no confidence. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s great but I’d much sooner offload Stevens if possible. He’s not had a decent game in 2 years, is older and is on more money.

In a perfect world we can get rid of Stevens in the summer but nobody is paying him what we are

I’ll save you some time and say no one has that kind of budget and would be interested.
 
I thought Stevens actually looked a bit more like his old self those last few games (forest game apart)

Agree Cash a good player mate but Lowe rated highly by Forrest fans on forum.. I'd like to see him start for us next season to see how good he is... P. S... Lowe is older than Cash... by 3 months 😉👍

How are they affording his wages, or are we paying them as well as letting him go on a free?
I can’t see anyone wanting to pay his level of wages, never mind a fee. He’s staying with us.
 
There can't be many clubs that would waste a huge chunk of their transfer budget on a full back they don't really need can there?

Forest are desperate for players though , need to replace five loan players plus probably add two or three of prem quality squad fillers if you say five million quick deal no add'ons, then player signs for relatively low wages with relegation clause it is probably quite an attractive deal for forest.
 



Well they can fuck off then and we can sell for 1m next summer instead

3.5m tops IMO but we need to sell now for whatever we can get and not waste much time in the process

Alternatively, keep him
