Quick mention for Matt Hill.

Thought he was good against Walsall, good enough to justify a run at centre back. We'll see. First time I have seen a good individual performance since Blackman left.

That performance has now extended the list of players that I would keep to 3. Long, Maguire and Hill.

I think he showed his worth last Tuesday, he was very good.
I do hope to see him at centre back more often as it seems to be his stronger position.

I thought when we signed him that was his position and he could fill in at left back.

Thought he was our best player Tuesday and did well when asked last season at centre half.

Is he tall enough for a CB?
I know he tries to make up for it in other ways, but you don't see that many CB's at his sort of height.
He puts a lot of effort in, which is to be commended because it isn't that evident in the majority of our squad recently.

Any one who saw Joe Shaw, all 5'8" of him will give you the definitive answer Swansea One of our all time greats at centre half.

I agree that Hill played well. I've always prefered him at CB than LB but the closing statement is ridiculous. Are you saying that of the 25 man?!?! Squad we only have 3 decent players?

Yes we're playing crap but we are truly in a false position squad wise, as are Bristol City. David Weir has put us way behind the pack but I've seen enough from the team since he left that when the confidence comes back we'll start climbing the table. Walsall were utter dross yet if they'd won would've been top 6. That is how shit this league is.

On paper the top 6 clubs are Wolves, Peterborough, Bristol C, Brentford, Blades then Preston, Orient or Coventry.

David Weir has royally fucked us, that's all.

I'd liked to add about Matt Hill that he was one of the few players to have the balls to applaud the supporters during those dark Weir days. He is a top professional footballer. Not the most gifted or talented, that's why he's playing for a third division side. But he never shirks, doesn't hide and has a genuine enthusiasm for the game, in my opinion.

If most of the team were on song we match anybody in the division.
Got to disagree with you about Walsall though they looked a decent outfit passed the ball and well organised.
Also I think league 1 haas some decent sides in it the Walsall v Peterbrough game was excellent on the box .
