Apologies for coming across a bit thick, but I'm not normally a gambling man but for some unexplained reason as I was passing one of the betting kiosks in the Family stand this afternoon at 5 to 3. I decided to risk all by having a quid on Ebanks-Landell to score the first goal. My first bet on a football game for about 5 years.
On return to said kiosk after the game I'm informed that to collect my winnings (a whopping £29) I have to walk around to the other side of the ground to the ticket office??
Okay,... fortunately its in the right direction (just as well), however South Yorkshire's finest have blocked Bramall Lane off with a couple of vans half way up and therefore I arrive outside ticket office at 5 past 5.
Its locked up.
I'm thereby informed that I can either go online and claim or wait to the next home game (2 weeks).
Is it me or is this not a ridiculous scenario.
