So then do what you can based on your abilities and don’t expect the majority to pander to your specific needs when there’s no issues for them.

This x 1,000,000.

If you’re less able, work to your means. Simple. If you can’t get to the game don’t go. It’s a sacrifice you don’t want to do but some of us can. Bit unfair for the majority to suffer because of a small minority.

A game going ahead doesn’t mean you must leave your house. Suck it up

With Storm Emma coming up from the South from Friday into Saturday, expected to result in Ice Rain when it meets the Beastie's low temperatures, I think there is a high chance of several games being called off. Possibly ours, hopefully not. We need to build on Tuesday's performance and notch up another win before facing a ridiculously in form Fulham.

I know we would all like it for the match to be on, but looking at it from another angle (not sure if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread) but if it is postponed then it gives the players injured in the Reading match more time to recover for the Fulham game next week. That match is arguably more important than the Burton match.

I work at the business centre at the ground. The pitch and stands will be OK and the main roads are OK. Obviously public transport will be fully operational and there is plenty of car parking in town so travel won't be the problem

The issue will be the streets surrounding the ground. John Street, Shoreham Street and Cherry Street have not been cleared yet and nor have any of the side roads near the ground.
Won't 25,000 pairs of feet sort that out pdq?

You have to be kidding me if you think that comment is in anyway justifiable to any argument.

A partial 'quote' (of a previous 'quote') taken out of all context Are you "kidding me" or trying to 'pillock a pillock'
May be worth reading the entirety of my post

PS- A19 just South of Peterlee

The main roads are fine, it was actually the quickest ive ever got into work today.

Where we work we have 10 staff all 10 managed to turn up, as long as the pitch is up to it its okay.

It won;t be the pitch that is the issue - they can clear the ground too; it will be around the ground in terms of the streets and transport links. Not sure I agree. Surely we can make a decision how safe it is to travel or if we want to risk it? Sadly it will be taken out of our hands. Be surprised if it is on.

I'll be offended if the club don't clear every drop of snow within a 5 mile radius of Bramall Lane at least 36 hours before the game!

McCabe out!:)

Can I be offended on your behalf as well please ........ 3rd party offence is the "in thing" these days

We need more offended people in this world right now ....... o_O

UTB & FTP

I still don’t know why anyone goes on a forecast, I wake up in the morning and see what crack is otherwise with some of the forecasts you see we’d get fuckall done.
I bought one of those weather stones from the local garden centre, it's brilliant .it only cost me £75. Works every time ,it sits outside in my garden
If the stone is warm, the sun is shining
If it's wet, it's raining
If I can't see it, it's snowing
BRILLIANT :D

Hell of a life you've got there if delaying you watching a football match is the height of your "suffering"

I'll be interested in your views if you (or your ma/da) slip & fall & subsequently hamper your mobility or WHEN you get older & are less steady on your feet
Given your stance it is reassuring to note that if you fall / bang your head there will be no obvious damage done

Not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is that if you can’t get to a game that is to go ahead, don’t risk your own safety for the sake of it. It’s high time we stopped the whole ‘blame culture’ and made people responsible for their own actions. I’ve just gone flying on a side road near me, that’s because I was wearing trainers and not suitable footwear. Shall I blame adidas for the shit grip on my shoes? Asda for having the audacity to open meaning I can actually go? Or myself for being a clumsy cunt?

Same applies for the game. If it’s safe to play - play it. If the roads outside your house are dangerous, don’t go. Don’t risk it.

Big job on if it's to go ahead.
The pics from the ground show a lot of snow in the stands, walkways, car park etc and that isn't going to melt away before Saturday.
The club will be liable for the safety of supporters and can't just tell people to man up if or not come if it's not safe.

Yeah, and if your legs don't work? Fuck you, you soft cunt you're not getting in!
