I don't know what it's like for others, but each match day seems to take longer and longer to come around. I guess that is testament to looking forward to each game, rather than the 'same old' of the last few seasons.... Anyway, it's the relatively short trip to Oldham, who are struggling at the bottom end of the table. They are however, on a mini run of 3 unbeaten and have one of the meanest defences in the division. Couple that though with the fact they are THE lowest scorers in League 1 leaving them in a precarious position. Dog of a pitch by all accounts, so this will not be easy by any means....

At least one of the benefits of being in League 1 is we get to play on the International break. However hopefully we'll be saying goodbye to that benefit IF things go to plan. Luckily I'll get to see this game this afternoon as it is on here in Bulgaria. The channel is broadcast live on the internet, but I don't know whether its geo locked to a Bulgarian IP address. Anyway the channel name is Diema Sport 2. I won't go as far as posting a link though, as I'm not sure about the rules on that.

So hopefully it'll be a good result, performance being of secondary importance, though we seem to mostly knit them together. Avoiding any injuries on the heavy pitch is also very important, and despite Oldham's tight defence I think we'll run out 3-0 winners....

Do not give a shit about anything other than winning. Doing so will be enough of an achievement in a battle like today is going to be, on a pitch like that.

I know we're all looking at Bolton, and that's good - we want to win the league, but Fleetwood are the ones we need to gain points on for the time being. If we win and they don't today we'll be at least 12 points clear of them with 7 games to play. It'll be just like last week but even bigger. That would be an unassailable lead.

This is truly the business end. And we're already in a commanding position. What a time it is. We should savour it. Fuck nerves.
