Did okay today, kept it simple, should have maybe sometimes drove forward a few more times, but he did well and put some good crosses in.

I must’ve missed those. I did see one incident which should’ve been a sitter but Norwood (I think) pushed it too far wide.

Overall I thought Johnson was decent today and certainly showed he can offer something.

Yeah fairly poor against very average opposition. Seems to be thinking at 200mph with every decision. Passing is often fired to the player, flicks when they aren’t necessary and positional wise, he gets so excited he wants to run at the ball. He’s like a player on speed.

Best contract he’ll ever get at Boro, fair play to him.

No denying a good early ball in for the 3rd.

But should've been involved in the fifth - and maybe a sixth as well.

A simple-ish ball to Hogan (for the fifth) was on for a Billy style tap; but, not for the first time, he went for glory - and blasted it at the keeper.

The early crosses add another variation to what we can do, and it looks like he's got pace, but tone it down sunshine, and play for the team.

He's probably massively rusty and over thinking it and keen to impress. I mean, look at the form of those he's up against, it's stellar, talk about pressure to grab your chance when it comes.

If I’d have been Johnson I’d have done the same. The lad is desperate to impress. I like players who are a bit selfish at times. Johnson needs more game time. When he gets his first goal for the club he’ll get more confidence and we’ll see more from him.
