The domino effect of borough signing McQueen has not previously been mentioned ?

I think Boro are still wanting a winger though but I reckon they'll get someone in too, they've got big pulling power with their wages and their current league position.

Good points about M'boro's pulling power but to counter that - who on earth would want to live there given the choice? No surprise that Bolasie chose Villa over them (not that Brum is much better!) as it appears is the centre back they're both chasing.

I genuinely believe we will sign a striker tomorrow, but as to who, Wilder probably dosen`t even know.

Think we are moving lower and lower down the list

Might be a gamble on a Premier league loan, just my opinion.

I still think we'll come to some compromise on Fletcher.

I like Tom Eaves from Gillingham, but Wilder has mentioned he wants proven quality. If we can't get Hogan and Fletcher then I wonder who's next? Can't see Gallagher coming back into the equation.

Presumably the issues with Fletcher is what Twirlo was referring too?

Strikers are the biggest risk when it comes to lower league talent, but they are also the biggest potential reward. I like the look of him to.

.

If the above is right, then I genuinely hope that we don't sign a striker tomorrow. If he's not the right one then let's not bother.

Save the pennies for another day if necessary.

It's a bit like the last dance at the nightclub and you've been on the pull (unsuccessfully) all night. Instead of grabbing the fat lass and getting crabs, sometimes it pays to go for a curry and a bit of shut eye for the next big push tomorrow.

We need another physical guy to me because if Leon gets injured we've got no one who can do that role as well and I think Wilder wants another guy similar to Leon which is maybe why we're looking at Fletcher who is good in the air although I know Fletcher isn't as much of a hold up man as Leon is but Fletcher will be a presence up there, leaving Billy to be the poacher.

I can see us going for Cameron Jerome but would much rather Eaves if honest, even though Eaves is unproven.

On the other hand, the fat lass may not have crabs and turn out to be totally filthy and a right laugh to boot. Take a punt, you've got nowt to lose but a bit of cab fare.

Or (keeping with the theme), you have a top curry with all the trimmings, get thi sen home for a bit of shut eye and a sneaky wank, accept the offer from the lads to go darn tarn again the next evening because your fresh as a daisy and not potentially ridden with fat slapper crustasions, your all charm and armed with a big wallet (not had to buy old fattie a kebab and a half a lager) and you go and pull urself a very tasty looking lady who is also totally filthy and a reight laugh.... (oh how I remember those happy days...)

Thus Chris has a dilemma. Sure fire thing but lacking in quality, or the no guarantee but a chance of glory....

Whether there's a signing or not we still have 4 strikers. Lavery is still a 'player'

Not to be too harsh but that is debatable.

He’s much worse than Donaldson was and couldn’t even get game time in league one. He’s a body on the pitch nothing more and no where near good enough for a promotion push...

Wilder's latest intervew - finally avaialble - didn't actgually say we needed someone in first which was different to Radio Sheffield's sports summary. I can't see us replacing Leonard now anyway. If he goes then its probably because Wilder thinks we have enough cover for Leonard. Judge for yourself.Interview is below and the last minute relates to Leonard.

Much Less confident of a signing after that - he’s basically saying ‘we can go with what we’ve got if we don’t get anything over the line’ and to trust him.

And to be fair he’s earned our Trust in how he does deals but I won’t say it wouldn’t be disappointing not to get someone in. And there should be questions about the handful of forwards who would improve us who have gone elsewhere

It'll go to the wire mate but hoping at least for Johnson. Can't see the centre forward coming though to be honest, especially with Boro having been rejected for Robson-Kanu.

Agree, he said weeks ago it was going to go to the wire but i really feel we should have expanded our horizons abit and got someone in. Even if it was a stop gap until next year - we wouldn’t have lost any money on someone like Bradshaw even if it didn’t work out brilliantly.

If we don’t sign anyone We’d then have a MINIMIUM of 4 months of three 30+ strikers without the best injury record (billy excepted) to get us through to when we can potentially add players.

That’s most of the season gone and maybe a chance of the play offs if we get bad luck with injuries.

I’d love to be wrong but I genuinely don’t see a striker coming in.
