Manchester United winger Lee Martin is on his way to Birmingham City in a £1.5 million deal.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has a queue of admirers for the speedy attacker, who starred on the club's pre-season tour of South Africa, but he is keen for him to join McLeish ... one of his favourite sons, says the People.
Martin is due to sever his Old Trafford links this week after previous loan spells at Rangers, Plymouth and Sheffield United.

Man City's Lee Martin is being tracked by Birmingham and Sheffield United. (The Sun)
Accurate as ever from The Sun, if we were to sign him i do think it would only be on loan. Can't see us wanting to spend much on him.
I thought Blackwell said we would have the first crack unless someone came in with an excessive bid?

news that he has just signed for forest
Nottingham Forest have completed the loan signing of Manchester United winger Lee Martin.
The 21-year-old is set to go straight into the Reds' side for the Carling Cup first round tie against Morecambe.
Martin's two United appearances have been in the same competition but he is arriving at the City Ground with plenty of league experience.
He has previously had loan spells with Rangers, Stoke, Plymouth and, most recently, Sheffield United.
