Alleged match fixing, hopefully for him this is not true but end of the road and a new low of true

From £1.2m striker to considering life on the dole - what's gone wrong for ex-Pompey, Sunderland and Coventry star
After a once promising career, former Pompey striker Marc McNulty is now into his fifth loan stay since joining Reading in 2018.www.portsmouth.co.uk
His career is dwindling fast. What a useless waste of time he was. Too far up his own arse on an ego trip, without having really ever achieved anything.
Now? Nothing.
Near us, we regularly frequented the same barbers. He was a bit of a scrote and ridiculously addicted to gambling, spaffing away thousands whilst sat in the chair. Football wasn't his full or even first focus.
Yeah, read it.Did you read the article? It says nothing about him being skint, just that he would rather go on the dole than return and play for Reading.
“For me, with everything I have seen there over the years I’m just glad it’s going to be over and I don’t have to go back down there.
‘I would probably be happy to be unemployed than go through that again.”

Aye,Maybe the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
MM came on as a late sub at PNE in the Cup around 7 years ago.
A mate left early and whilst trying to grab a cab outside the ground, was asked by a Scottish fella where he was going and if he could jump in.
Apparently it was MM's Dad (or so this bloke said anyway) and despite travelling all the way down on the day to watch him play, he was more bothered about getting away early for a beer than staying to watch his son's full 15 minute cameo.
At the 125 anniversary dinner in 2014 he was sat next to Nigel Clough looking miserable as you like.
Probably no coincidence that Clough had plonked him there.
He’s actually a nice chap when you talk to him one on one. I think he dislikes the fame that comes with his parentage and role, and is a lot more introverted than his dad (which isn’t hard, to be fair) but if you talk to him without all the trappings of his job being involved he’s a dead normal, down to earth guy.To be fair the laughing police man would have looked miserable if he had to sit along side Nigel Clough for any length of time.
Agree with that, he was a decent finisher. I remember a goal away at Rochdale which he took really well and made it look easy when it was anything but. Talent is only part of the equation I suppose.Always seemed a pretty decent finisher. He's not had many spells at thriving clubs, but seemingly did well when he did.
My overriding memory of him was from away at Peterborough, when Billy headed the late winner, I was celebrating and found myself facing the bench (about 5 metres away) - accidentally locked eyes with, an also celebrating, Marc McNulty.
I remember rumours of MM's mates referring to Billy as Bully Sharp but also read that was a ducking autocorrect fail.
