Marc Darcy sponsor?

Hiya guys. Anyone know anything about the above? First I've heard of them sponsoring the blades. Picture attached.

Ahh that makes sense! Thought it wouldn't be a big sponsorship deal otherwise the blades page would've announced it.

It'd definitely explain the big banner in the picture.

Far as I know the major sponsor is still USG but that's in the air as the part of the company which sponsors us has gone into voluntary administration (USG's main company being unaffected). Exactly what that means going forward nobody really knows. Could open us up for an even better deal if the current one collapses.

Yeah, you'd think that whatever the deal was with USG (think it was a three year thing) it was an offer they made thinking there was a fair chance we'd only be in the Prem for a year of it.

I know nothing about this company, but I can see the marketing execs sitting in a room coming up with the name...

“Marc“ - looks a bit French and sophisticated but also not too foreign for your partially educated Meadowhall dweller.

“Darcy” - has vague literary allusions towards masculinity and a certain edginess for anyone who’s read a book. But also simple to pronounce for said Meadowhall dweller.
