Out of the list below who if anyone do you think would be the man to take us forward?? Put next each name your comments and whether you would be happy for them to take over.

Nigel Clough
Tony Pulis
Alan Curbishley
David O'leary
Greg Abbott
Dean Saunders

Nigel Clough - definitely NO
Tony Pulis - yes
Alan Curbishley - yes
David O'Leary - not sure
Greg Abbott - not sure
Dean Saunders - definitely NO

Clough: No, only got the Derby gig 'cos of Daddy, agree he did well at Burton. I like my managers edgy and nasty, Clough seems a bit dull

Pulis : Don't like the guy but would be nasty enough to do a job at the lane. Want a successful manager not a nice guy

Curbs: no idea, why does he never get a job ?

O'Leary : can't stand Irish accents, Michael Doyle is painful to listen to

Saunders: Nah

So Pulis for me

curbs for me out of that lot,but he`s recent `cant be arsed to manage anymore`attitude is a blip.
Why on earth this bloke hasnt been in work for years is beyond me.

Clough, I'm not sure either way. A Derby fan at work did tell me that he would get rid of anybody under 6 foot 2 so that would mean our whole squad.

Curbishly is pretty much retired and wouldn't manage outside of London so we can rule him out.

Didn't David O'Leary retire about fifteen years ago?

Pulis probably wouldn't go as low as bottom of Division 2 or whatever they call it now.

Who on Earth is Greg Abbott?

I think I would go for Saunders out of that lot. If he hadn't been so eager to jump ship he could have two promotions on his CV from Donny and Wrexham. I think Wolves and Donny were both beyond salvage when he took them down. I don't think we are at that stage yet.

If these are the only options available though, things are not looking good are they?

To answer the last question i have only picked managers out of work don't forget, as for Pulis surely money talks??

None of the above, thanks.
Just can't get inspired by any of them.

I reckon they are struggling to get their first choice, Clough, KR is the backstop but we will probably end up leaving Morgan in charge for the rest of the season as no one, of any recognisable quality, wants the job.

Given the time that this is taking I would suggest one of two things:

1. The man lined up is already in a job and compo is being discussed.

2. The man has recently left a job and is trying to sort compo with previous club (Clough situation).

Someone not in a job would be sorted by now, unless first choice has fallen through and we are down to second choice.

Only Tony Pulis out of those.

I'm gonna throw it out there, but what about Dean Saunders? OK he has two relegations on his CV but in both circumstances he came in at a time when the damage was done. At Donny he crafted a poor team to play a decent brand of attacking football that ultimately got them promoted. Worth a shout?

Nigel Clough not strictly true , hes on gardening leave still being paid
Tony Pulis gets results , but could he stand Pinchy booing him every time he parks up in the car park
Alan Curbishley southern softy , anyone who doesnt have a head on their beer not to be trusted
David O'leary Guiness drinker , thinks he can surf on a horse
Greg Abbott Oh what an atmosphere I love a party with a happy atmosphere
Dean Saunders was good with Dawne French but dated

Strange? Curbishley has shortened today to 8/1 with Willie Hills

Who on here has had a tenner on him to do that then?
