Firstly, I'm gutted that we didn't pick up three points there.. Not just because we desperatlely need them. But because it would have been a fitting tribute to Ains after the devastating news broke on here yesterday. Once more, my thoughts are with all connected to Matt. Rest well blade!

After the above it seems lame to have a whinge to be honest. I said it last night and I say it again, life itself it greater than football.

Going back to today's game however, it is hard not to feel underwhelmed by the gaffer again.

Asaba hit the nail on the head it terms of how we are setting up. We are playing players out of position and not to their individual strengths? Why?... I don't understand the team selections or the way that we set ourselves up.....What is the thought process behind it all?

Secondly, my biggest annoyance with Hecky.... Substitutions... And today being another glowing example of how inept we are at rolling the dice and making positive tactical changes.

Brighton have a player sent off and instantly their gaffer acknowledges that they will have to work a lot harder, therefore he intrduces fresh legs to keep the tempo up. Us on the other hand.... after weathering the first half and looking a little bit sluggish in areas, we persevere and don't change anything up.... Why?

It is surely no coincidence that we concede so many goals later in games. We burn our players out and fail to act on the tactical changes that the opposition make. Granted, we are up against luxury sqauds week in, week out... But never the less we don't do anything to try and counter the sudden influx of energy from opponents. With teams making 5 changes, they can literally rip tired legs apart and expose all of our weaknesses...

Perhaps it's also no conincidence that our injury record is appalling still.. Granted you can't place the blame solely on the mabager for that one... but surely tactical substitutions would aid in protecting our players a little bit?..... When it is obvious that certain players are blowing out of their backsides, then you change it up and remove them from the pitch... Why do we persevere?... Players are no longer able to track back and at times they look disinterested in receiving the ball as they simple don't have the energy levels.

I'm no football manager, but for me the failings are quite obvious.... Whilst it's a point gained, for me it is definitely 2 points lost through negativity.

On another thread a poster said we won against Wolves by a fine margin and if you think about it, this season has been about fine margins, we keep losing by the odd goal. Today we got one back so I'm giving full praise for that and to the great backing we got from the fans who went down there. Well done lads.

Hard for me to disagree RE the manager, I'd have liked to see more impetus when Brighton looked there for the taking. There just HAS to be huge questions asked of the manager in terms of our set up and plan against teams. Because it is woeful.

But, after suffering through that first half, a point is something I could only have dreamed about. So I'll take it gladly, we'd have only got ourselves done on the counter anyway.

Agree with the S/O to the fans that went, they sounded brilliant and deserved something out of the game.

It was an awful match. The referee gave us a chance. So thank you Ref. Never been a red but we take it again. Laugh at De Zebri

Who would you have brought on?

Anyone able to inject the required energy that we are missing.... It isn't only about attacking ability is it? It's also about damage limitation.

When the opposition make 3-5 changes, suddenly the tired legs that we have are just about starting the game again. They are up against a whole new wave of fresh legs and energy, which I feel is a huge contributing reason to conceding late goals.

On Souza's back injury, how the heck wasn't that a penalty? Defender lifts his knee and launches himself into the back of him as he's going to head it.
No Var review check despite him being down injured for quite some time. Would we get away with that at the other end? Unlikely.

It will be nice to have a few players back fit soon. Today's bench would struggle to make it into most championship starting XI sides.

Looked a blatant red to me in today's prem.
Wow.

So you’ll agree that Haalands Penalty just now is the exact same as Websters?

Or isit the rose tinted glasses?

Osborn came on as sub, the game changed and you’re criticizing subs and late goals.
Which subs would you have brought on?

Osborn came on as a force sub, which otherwise wouldn't have been made.

Osula, traore, Slimane, Brooks, Osborn, Larouci.... loads of energy on the bench.

Never a red ? You must be smoking some strong stuff at the moment
Apology incoming

If that’s a red then Webster should have had a penalty just like Man City did. We would be kicking off wild.

Saying it’s corrupt. I would be right with them too.
