Well last night we conceded after about 2 minutes os that was that pretty much, but after that i thought we played well

Really impressed with shelton he looked good fast, good touch and comfortable with the ball and should have won a pen. Im tonge's biggest critic and he had a good game last night passed the ball around well.

Dissapointed with Webber really thougt he would have put it all in for this game but did very little for me

I thought that Tonge, Monty, Paddy, Kilgallon and of course Shelton all played very well last night.

The others also did their bit but the above players stood out for me.

I was disappointed with Kozluk for the Rooney goal but as he was marking one of the best in the world, i'll let him off this once :)

I think Geary needs a word of praise for marking (pretty well) the best player in the world for 90mins and managing a big piece of that on a booking.
The block he made in the second half when he tracked back and had to go around one of his own defenders to make it was awesome.
as was paddys one handed save at the near post.

Geary for Ireland!!!!!! and Paddy when he wants back in too :)

i thought thatw e gave a good account of ourselves, not our strongest performance, but a good one none the less.

I was over the moon when i knew shelton wouldbe starting, been blowing the shelton trumpet (I KNOW, INSERT YOUR OWN JOKE) with the lads for ages and he proved me right last night. I cant wait to see shelton and hulse as a partnership, i think it will work well.

Hope he is fit for charlton, if he doesnt start then he really needs to be on early second half, as we saw against bolton 10 mins isnt enough for him

UTB

Unfortunate to not get the penalty last night even Man U fans having been saying it was pen but hey as if styles was ever gonna give it. Anyway decent performance thought we could of done a bit better going forward should of tried to win more corners off them as i felt Morgan and Jags could of caused them trouble. Although Shelton certainly looks like he maybe worth his price tag did very well up there on his own. For me he has to start against charlton alongside Webber or CKR.

Overall we gave a good account of ourselves.

So does that mean we are better than AS Roma then ? :D

Tonge and Shelton were awesome last night and I thought Webber gradually got into the game and his shit touch slowly but surely subsided. I reckon a run in the side would see him come good. Unfortunately the end of the season will come too soon for him. Great captain's performance last night and don't think anyone had a "bad" game.

From a letter in today's Guardian -

"Man U beat Roma 7-1, Portsmouth beat Man U 2-1 and Watford beat Portsmouth 4-2, what sort of walloping would Watford give Roma?"

So yes, I think we are better than Roma, but so probably are Doncaster papergirls under 12's second XI.

Great performance last night. Shelton is a top player if that is anything to go by.

Keep it up for rest of the games, and we're safe.

special mention to the fans too, my throat is sore this morning.

Definately Rachy, my head has been caining at work all day, cant even speak properly.

Amazing support last night, and we silenced the home end :D

Anyways, great performance last night against arguably the best team in the world currently. Shelton looked great, especially as he was left on his own up front.

Also, at only 2-0 its the best scoreline away from home against one of the big 4.

One slight aggrievance, bloody trains. Missed the 22.27 train so had to wait till 00.15 for last train back to sheff, needless to say didn't get in leadmill :( booooo

BRING ON THE CHARLTON

Mate of mine said on the way out....

"They may be able to fill the stadium but they can't half fookin empty one"

:D :D :D

I could not believe how many fans had left that stadium 15mins before the end.. bet there were only half left - disgraceful support if you can't stay until the end like that. I know a handful have to get trains etc - but there were hundreds! It was like they were about 4-0 down!

fantastic performance from the lads. I can agree with everything Sharpy said, i think all of the ratings he gave are near enough spot on! Thought CKR should have got a better rating than webber or webber should have got a lower one. He only picked up last 5-10mins.

I think the West Ham game has picked Tongey up and hopefully he'll do it against Charlton.

Shelton MOTM for me though, caused their back 4 (excluding rio) more problems than what that poofter totti could do. Looks like we may have a real gem on our hands if we go by that performance.

p.s he looks so old:p

just looked at a man utd forum....

comments like "that was our easiest game of the season" and "our players could cruise through the game without actually making much effort".

Another one was "the game was a bit difficult because they never intended to attack us which made our players find the comfort zone"...

wtf are they on?

We hit the bar...should have had a pen. Made a number of chances.......

morons.

the man Ure fans always go home 15mins prior to the final whistle, dont they? ;)

they are wankers.. like their players and there manager is..BASDARDS!

"I was disappointed with Kozluk for the Rooney goal but as he was marking one of the best in the world, i'll let him off this once"

basic defending at the end of the day. pick and man and follow him, not let him stand next to you and run off into the box and shout morgan to get to him while hes facing the ball.
CKR was dire. again. think hes been pushed too much. rest him and see what happens. webber just come back from injury and was lacking it. bring him off the bench.
Shelton... amazing game... run there defence wild on his own...looked to goal everytime and was wanting it. neat layoffs too.
tonge, another great game for the lad. he's learnt to tackle and not to grab them and pull there shirt.
Morgan... solid again. roony and ronaldo having tuffles with him... hes ave em anyday. one mention especially was a free kick up there end, we lost the ball and morgan ran from there box, got back to ours and made a crucial tackle, just saw him steaming down the pitch, think someone told him there was a fight up other end of pitch :D
Killa had a good steady game. won the ball, put the foot in, looks a good player.
Geary was superb, kept up with ronaldo and put in some great tackles against him.
kenny, pulled off some great saves down low with ronaldo and a good one on one with rooney to mention a few.

If we take this performance and tactics into the charlton game, we have a good chance of getting something there. im not going to say we will win as they need the points so it will be a tougher game for us than man ure TBH.

M.O.M shelton

Just watched MOTD from the weekend.
Gareth Southgate made me mad when he was interviewed after they had played Manure.
About the penalty that they should have had.
'Well it coulkd have gone either way, I could see why the ref' didn't give it'
It was a blatant penalty so tell it how it is.
Big poof, pandering to Manure and not wanting to stir things up.
