Arsenal should have spanked west ham 10-1 but they didn't because west ham battled and with a bit of luck managed to keep them out.

Arsenal arn't 4th/5th for no reason....they are a young side and i think will be a force to be reckoned with in a few years time.

They're not first or second - they're fourth - you mentioned us playing against the top four earlier, which is what we're using as a comparison

your back tracking. They are premiership winning material. Just because they arn't top doesn't mean they have what it takes. If we go by what your saying it means Man Utd wern't premiership winning material last season does it? or Liverpool because they are quite a distance behind Man Utd and Chelsea?

That is why your quest is unattainable. Due to the nature of a football league system, if a top team is beaten by a lower side such as ourselves, they fail to gain points and therefore become "not that good anymore".

I do - everyday. Everyday so my optimism can tell me just what a chance we've got of league survival, and what we need to do. I don't care about the top half of the table to be honest, just us, and those around us.

If you can't look at where YOUR team are sat in the table then you should be ashamed of yourself because you're obviously ashamed of their league position? Did you look at it when we were relegated from division one, to division two, to division three, to division four? Or just when we were on our way back up?

not much difference there though man. If they were one win would take them back into the top four because its that tight.

Firstly I wasn't even BORN when we were in Division 4, not even for a good few years yet FFS!! It's not the fact I'm ashamed we're back in the drop zone, it the fact it worries me.

So do something about it & encourage your team!! Stop putting them down all the time and talking like we're doomed. Have some faith and get behind them instead of writing us off
 
I might not go to ANY matches next season. I've renewed my season ticket, but we might lose against opposition who can score goals. The pies will still be shit, why can't we get posh Italian food like they do in Spain? The beer will have gone up in price, and it might rain. Can't see the point in going to watch any match when I might stub my toe on the steps up the Kop, I bet Man U fans all have escalators. At Real Madrid and Barcelona they have lifts to EVERY seat, AND Barca have that goofy fella who is a bit good. Why can't we sign him? And that Owen Hargreaves, he'd rather come to the Lane than The Trafford Centre. In fact, I might not go unless we can beat opponents ten-nil every game.
We need good cup draws against sides we should be expected to spank, like Swansea.

Bugger being a Blade for the love of the club.

Well i think warnocks tactics will Ensure that fact hence the reason the fans are voting with there feet by the looks of things they have gone on general sale had this game been at the start of the season the tickets would have gone like wildfire.

i dont think that a point is too far fetched. I dont expect anything but with their current defensive issues, we may be able to put one past them and maybe hold them to a draw.

Its hardly expected of us because of their attacjing capabilities, but you never no. This is a "Pie n bovril" game when all is said and done.
 
man u will score more goals than us fact.even if they are weak at the back they just need to get it into the middle of the park and let ronaldo scholes and giggs do the work and chance are they will get a shot in,can only really see a tonking to be honest,but all the fans that are going stand up and sing your hearts out let the team know we are behind them.
