Take the X50 from Piccadilly Gardens to OT, direct.
Keep off the trams, watch out for the M.I.B too.
Looking for places with barely any bother, Oxford Road.
Best pub for away supporters, Old Wellington near Manc Cathedral.

Hey, Louis! If you had to rate yourself out of the following categories, what would you say? -

1. Great
2. Very Good
3. Quite Good
4. Not Bad
5. Poor
6. Wanker

Rusty - Deansgate station not a bad shout because there you have a choice of 2 trams - either the Altrincham bound or the East Didsbury bound - but with the latter you must alight at Trafford Bar. The Eccles & Media City trams also come through Deansgate but obviously they are no good.
Right by Deansgate station there are 2 excellent real ale pubs, the Knott Bar and the Atlas Bar , one on each side of the road as it passes under the railway bridge.
However, if you leave it late , the trams will be packed full by the time they arrive at Deansgate. Good luck !

Oooh, I beg to differ Sir.

OT is only a 20 minute walk from the media city or harbour city stops on the Eccles line. In fact media city's car park will be fairly empty and a good option I would have thought.

Worth noting that Piccadilly Gardens bus terminal is closed for 3 weeks for refurb, according to Manc Evening News.

Didn't know the Men In Black were Blades but I always thought Van Gaal looked alien-like. Say hi to Will Smith for me.

I'll be staying in Deansgate area, getting train to Victoria via Picadilly. Will maybe end up getting a cab to the match, to make sure I arrive on time.

Thanks for the real ale pub mentions, I will be looking out for them! Same in the evening after the game.

Was looking at probably Ape and Apple (what's it like these days?), then grapes (round back of Deansgate), then as you say two pubs just under the arched bridge past the Hilton.

never said it was my living room
its my projector system, I bought myself
that rooms a bit eighties for me
not be fully finished till fridaY
Its why the shelves are empty
seats will go back further, when the paints dry
This quote, in reply to someone commenting on the sofa in the picture, heavily implies you were trying to give off the impression it was your living room.

How comes you commented on the sofa being moved back as it was too close??

Also there's no projector there, and the image has been dropped in after

its a reply to someone thinking Id put speakers inappropriately placed
surround sound has to surround you
and Id never sit that close

TomJonesBlade thanks mate might have to give that a go.

They've just announced a new special for this month...Jurassic Pork.

We'll be in Grapes between 1and 2pm, it's that one near the Local Tesco and Australian Walkabout isn't it?

Pointless. Can't fit that in your mouth. Just put it on a plate with a knife and fork ffs, not a bastard breadcake.

That's the one. For those thinking of drinking around train station you might want to avoid
