Man Utd and Brighton Fans Views On James Wilson

I’d take the Brighton views with a pinch of salt. Can’t really judge players whenever they are playing half fit.

Just imagine a view from on Leon Clarke after the first 5 months of last season - I imagine there would be plenty of similar comments on there.

It’s a risk but one that could pay off imo. Decent finisher with pace is what we are missing and wilder will get him putting the effort in or he won’t play.

This is a player that clearly has something. When Giggs was managing (yeah he was shit), they were starting Wilson ahead of Rooney as the lone striker. They clearly rate him a lot, injuries have held his progress big time.

Wilder is the type of manager that over time could well get more out of him. Would be a fantastic signing long term (he doesn't have a future under Mourinho), however, despite hardly playing for the first team in 5 years, he's probably on about 30k a week.

Take manures comments with a pinch of salt. Comparing him to the likes of Rashford, lukaku and ibrov is hard,ey a fair measure. CW/AK will sort his problems.

Anybody who walks into a Chris Wilder squad and thinks they can be lazy is in for a short, sharp shock. We'll sort him out.

Agreed, at a guess maybe he’s one of these young un’s that think he’s played at Man U and that’s it big time Charlie, then can’t break into the side and ends up at Brighton, becomes a little depressed and self pity. The solution, a manager who takes no prisoners and a club on the up.

No reflection on his Royship’s work, but whenever I hear a Man U fan talking about football I just glaze over.

90% of them know precisely fook all about real football beyond superstar celeb players and what they’ve seen on YouTube skillz vids.

Tell me I’m wrong. Dare yer.

Quick and can finish. Could work well as a change of tack for the last 20 in open games. Anything more than that would be a bonus

Wilson/Wilder/Knill/ S2 'model'/ talent/ natural goalscorer/ lazy/ career defining/ all adds up. Exactly where we should be in the market.

It's up to the player to capitalise on what we have to offer in S2.

And btw on Friday he'll see what a home crowd can do when they're not stuffing prawn sandwiches and Sauvignon Blanc!!

Agreed, it's great to get a pacey player in. I hope JW makes the best of a chance to play some first team football.

Some of the Brighton comments about Wilson are exactly what we’d have said about Coutts till Wilder and Knill got hold of him.

He looked a reight prospect before his injury. Let’s hope we can help him discover something like this form again.

Here's hoping. Must admit his interview with Radio Sheffield didn't fill me with much confidence about his character but knowing Wilder he'll have done his homework to make sure there's no issues in that department. The pedigree is there, just need him to back it up with the performances. A goalscoring cameo off the bench on Friday ta, James! :D

Erm I'd take can find the back of the net if he's a bit lazy, movement and clinical in the box is what we need ! I'm not sure he'll get away with slacking with Wilder Breathing down his neck ! It's probably why Man U sent him to us !!

Be interesting to see which clubs he fucked off to sign for the mighty blades

I'm going with this one:

"Very fast and a great finisher"

..just what we need!

UTB!

Cheers Roy!
