At the Lane. Ticket office publicised it all on Snapchat beforehand, and you needed 500 points to go. Empty stadiumWhere was this played?
Didsy was absolutely awesome on Sunday. He's one of the classiest players we have ever had- NO CHANCE.He’s gotta be in the team on Saturday, ahead of Didsy for me, he’s had 2 gilt edge chances and missed the, both, with the competition we’ve got he’s gonna lose his shirt.

He doesn't have the nickname Mcgoaldrought for nothing- scoring is not his forte. But he is skillfull, clever, got a deft touch, he works like a dog, he calms situations down, he thinks, he brings others in, he's strong all in all he's friggin fantastic. He's a big reason we won- all in all, lot of players were awesome on Sunday- but he's deffo one of them.Awesome?
Really?
His general play was decent, but he missed a sitter, if that qualifies as awesome, there's still hope for me!![]()
Callum Nicell was an unused Sub for our U23s on Monday night. Some "detail" in my Blog....Player on trial doesn't play, how does that work then?

Awesome? His hold up play was very poor in the 1st half and he kept giving the ball away. He improved slightly in the 2nd half but he was getting deeper meanibg there was at time little pressure on their defence. His workrate is unquestioned but that doesn't mean he played well. Based on the standards he has shown previously he was way below them.Didsy was absolutely awesome on Sunday. He's one of the classiest players we have ever had- NO CHANCE.
All about opinions mate. It's not how I saw him.He doesn't have the nickname Mcgoaldrought for nothing- scoring is not his forte. And finally - the goal he missed on Sunday A- he was right in the right position and B- The goalie got very very lucky, he didn't so much save it, he jammily sucked it into his belly button.
And if your as good as Didsy- get your boots down the training ground nowish.
I do wish folks would realise we’ve got more than one “Freeman” and put the initial before the surname!
Did Oli play?

Bob Widdowson? Understudied Hodgy for years, saw him in CL team many times. This was in the days when they did programmes for reserve games. Hodgkinson alas for Bob hardly ever got injured. Is this how premiership clubs
Keep there shadow squads
fit ?.
No chance of going back to the old days of the central league then !
Stalwarts like Denis Finnigan ,
Des Thomson , Cliff Mason Denis Shiels and others spending years playing for the stuffs with little chance of first team football.
Also if the roles at Bournemouth were reversed, Sharp would've still scored. If Freeman's on from the start I'd like to see McBurnie and Sharp up front.McBurnie missed a gilt edge chance against Bournemouth, lucky Sharp was on hand to finish the rebound.
Yes, one’s the little bloke in the middle pinging the ball around and the other looks like an extra from Braveheart.Oli and Ollie are clearly distinguishable...
Des Thomson was also understudy to Hodgy before Widdowson who came through the club ( not called an academy in those days)Bob Widdowson? Understudied Hodgy for years, saw him in CL team many times. In mid 1963-64 season Hodgy got injured and was out for some games. Widdowson was going to take his place but broke his arm at training in the week leading up to the next match. Harris then decided to re-sign Des Thompson from Buxton.Des Thomson was also understudy to Hodgy before Widdowson who came through the club ( not called an academy in those days)
Thomson was at the club a number of years and like Widderson hardly ever played at 1st team level.
Hodgy hardly ever got injured and he was so consistent.
The rise of the squad game has killed reserve team football.
Yes remember it well now silent 55 years ago now .Hodgy very rarely out with injury but yes that was a periodIn mid 1963-64 season Hodgy got injured and was out for some games.
