He’s 24 years of age, if he’d be somewhat worth the risk, a club with actual scouting and analytics would’ve took a punt on him imo. It’s not worth the risk sending Stevie wonder to have a look.

“Chucked in at the deep end”? You mean he was asked to start some games. He’s a 33 yo veteran. He did do alright but it says a lot about previous thoughts on him that just asking him to start feels equivalent to asking a teenager to play in a cup final.
 
Are we actually linked with this guy because I would be surprised us signing a lad from york at 24. It's not Harry Bassett in 1992! Wish it was mind!
 
We’re looking to finish towards the top half of the Championship and I’m seeing suggestions that we buy non-league and top end League 2 players.

I’m not sure that’s a good strategy for finishing towards the top of the Championship. It will probably get us out of the division the other way.

For every Jamie Vardy there are 100’s of failures.
 
With all these finance restrictions coming into the champinship, we have to be very savy with our spending. If we can pluck a gem or 2 from non league and potentially sell them on for a decent profit next year or the year after, that's only going to help us.
We need to accept that we are now a championship team! Next year is going to be very tough to get promoted due to the teams coming down, Wrexham and Birmingham having American money. Southampton still in the league. Middlesbrough will have money to spend with selling Hackney.
I don't think people realise how much trouble we are in financial wise. We need to get a few players off the books to raise money to invest. Selling Peck will be pure profit, so so that's a bonus!
Selling Hamer will bring in a few quid

How much trouble are we in? Seems a lot of or fans have great knowledge on the finances side that should only be known by the owners, love to know how these people get to know?
