Well unless the coaching staff are wilfully blind or negligent then I can’t think of a performance by a centre half that cries “drop me” much more than today’s.

At risk of repeating myself:

• Cruyff turn on the edge of his own box, lost possession, Clarke booked trying to recover. Dangerous free kick.
• Calamitous defending leads to Souza injuring himself trying to recover the mistake leading to a corner. They score from corner.
• my memory is more vague here but he surrendered possession unnecessarily between the first and second goal as well.
• lousy clearance for the second that drops straight to their lad for the winner.

Notwithstanding he had two free headers from corners that he completely messed up too.

Tell me Holding can’t improve upon that.

Also Plymouth's penalty shout just before half-time. Wrestled the Plymouth forward to the floor. I've seen them given. Why take the risk? It was poor anticipation.

You can add the penalty he gave away in the first half which the ref bottled out of. The kind of thing we got pulled up time and time again for last season with VAR

He's cost us about 8 points on his own this season just off top of my head, never mind how many goals he's cost us.

Absolute liability, but it's okay because he slides in reyt hard and shouts.
