In Dronfield all his life apart from when he lived with his girlfriend in Sheffield for some years in late 1970s

Nothing wrong with Dronfield, the swingers rumour was on the Gosforth Valley. The Midland in Dronfield was where I had my first pint of Stones

Didnt know that! I played cricket for Contact Club in 1980 and 1981 (midweek and Sunday games)

Loads of footballers in Dronny when I were a lad. Don't know of any current ballers in town at the moment. Prices probably put them off - good - don't want any new money types lowering the tone up our end

I haven't lived there for 20 years although my Mum and Dad still do, When I go back I never see anyone I know in pubs etc. Must be all new money etc!!!

It seems (and actually is) a long time ago!! The 1970s seem like another country. Was back in Dronfield yesterday drove past Fanshawe, it looks huge to when I was there and of course Gosforth doesn't exist anymore
