I also believe he would be an idiot (in terms of his career) for signing for us, as it basically means he will never play in the premier league, which he has stated on many occasions is his key aim in life. If he came to us and we went up next season, then had a decent first season back in the championship, he would potentially be back in the shop window for PL teams. He is still young enough to sacrifice a seaso, particularly if to play somewhere he loves.

I think our last true servant from terrace to albeit early retirement (although he almost definitely told Charles Green to F-off when he told him he had been sold to Birmingham not long before his career killing injury) was Dane Whitehouse. It would be nice to think Brayford couldve made it all the way to the premier league with cardiff, which he did, then realised just how much it means to be appreciated as a footballer, and ends up joining us. That would be truly heartwarming.
