He'll have to explain himself to the FA/Southgate they'll obviously interview him too but wouldnt be surprised if he gets dropped for the upcoming match but I bet he will be back at the next one.

From what I've read he only acted after his sister got stabbed in the arm (which they seem to conveniently not mention online) and then he thinks the Police didnt take this act seriously or look into who did it so he went off on one. Quite understand his reaction but been a bit silly to "jostle" with the Police over it only one outcome there.

I have my own story from a restaurant/ bar in Mykonos from last summer. Me and my missus both believe we got our drinks spiked...

After what we experienced I agree regarding security and management in bars.

In the end we called our hotel and asked them to send the shuttle bus, giving us the drivers name and licence plate before he came.

Amazing island but There is an undercurrent in Mykonos and we were glad to get off the island!

Seen a lot of footballers/ Wannabe celebs going to mykonos a story like this will make there tourist injury take a nose dive

As a HR 'professional' bringing the company into disrepute is the clause in most employment contracts that gives you the grounds to instantly dismiss, if you so desire. However, most employers would sit down and investigate what's gone on before making a decision as it seems with this case, there are two sides to every story.

However, the chap in our IT dept who just had his laptop confiscated by the local constabulary didn't have the same 'benefit' of the doubt...

"having your laptop confiscated" sounds like code for something that society (including bosses, judges and even employment tribunal judiciary panel members) have a revulsion for.

We could go round in circles and derail this entire thread discussing the hypocrisy of how different accusations, crimes and criminals are treated (offender olympics?), and that's not something I want to do, but in all honesty; do you think your IT chap would have faced a similar outcome had he taken part in a bar brawl?

I’ve done the pissed up 18-30s holidays where the drunk teenagers are effectively a cash cow for the local bent coppers to make a few quid. I saw it happen to others but it didn’t happen to me.

This isn’t a surprise Albanian gangsters are involved, and I’d be far from surprised if the local plod aren’t in their pocket.

As far as I can see Harry Maguire might as well have had a big X on his back, and the rich footballer was an easy target for the local Albanian gangsters and the corrupt local police, in fact I think he can consider himself lucky that his sister wasn’t held for ransom.

I’ve holidayed in Greece before, it is a beautiful place, but last year I had the holiday from hell, ended up with viral gastroenteritis and hospitalised by it, and saw first hand that the local hospitality industry would only take an interest when they could see the Euro signs. Just glad I was properly insured but I don’t think I’ll ever go back

Yes your experience should serve as a warning, but wouldn't you think if you are a "famous face" in the football world and you've got a few bob and you're off to a lively place like that, full of football fans from all over Europe, both good and not so good that you could afford to take a minder or two with you. I appreciate its the times we live in but becomes a necessity in someone like Harry's situation

Wasn’t he out with his brother n sister rather than a group of lads acting up. Should be a lesson to all young footballers. They are in a very lucky situation but with it comes sacrifices. Go on holiday to places you aren’t likely to be recognised. If you are wanting to go where you’re likely to be recognised, it only takes one pissed up Dickhead.....or if other stories are to be believed, a gang watching you splash the cash and targeting you.

Granted he was with his brother and sister and he's a level headed guy but it appears he / they were still targeted, the world's shrinking not that many places left without football fans, the America's maybe, I think regarding the minders, I'd bet he'd gladly take the stick from his mate's now compared to what he's copping for now, Beany used to go in the Crick's of all places with his minder years ago.

I know his grandad extremely well and have spoken to maquirs and his dad on the odd occasion his aunt was my kids teacher there a close knit family and Harry seemed of the same mold. Everybody changes when alcohol is consumed but all thus seems a bit far fetched for me and see him being found innocent.
