I noticed he waited until there was a lot of crowd noise before he got up to warm up in front of us.

Stearman followed him for support.

I didn't hear a single boo or dissenting voice but some went ridiculously OTT and stood up to applaud him as if he was the genetically modified ghost of Alan Woodward and Jimmy Hagan cut and shut together.

For the record I did fuck all.

I was in a real mess about this today. I got on the bus, then got off it, went back home, asked god what to do, got a taxi to shoreham street then asked him to take me back home, did some yoga, got back on the bus, did some coke, ate a burger, drunk some white lightening and stood outside the Lane shaking.

Eventually I went in.

Absolute bollocks. No way did you eat a burger before going into the ground
;)

Cannot be arsed to scroll back and check who said they wouldn't go so I was interested in knowing if they did, cumon yer no who you are.

Pretty positive response from where I was sat. I did hear the odd smattering of boos but the cheers all but drowned them out.

It would be one of the greatest practical jokes of all time if were to leave him on the bench and never use him...

Ben Woodburn might disagree! Can't say I rated Woodburn though on what I saw though.

I went but didn't go in. Just waited outside for him to come out after the game, then I twatted him.
Hes now crippled so will never pull our shirt on again. :)

What absolute bollox you spout..

I’ve never read so much shit in my life and I’ve read plenty.. a lot of it on here.

There’s no way you did that!!

Did some coke? Then ate a burger?

No Chance

Think Mr Wilder is boxing clever here, two away games now and if Madine scores us a couple of winner's in those games, who's going to boo next home game ?

I've been booing him since we were first connected with him and shan't stop until he is sent packing.
Additionally it's now become apparent that Wilder is not to be trusted with the transfer fund and we need to get somebody else in to deal solely with transfers whilst Wilder just gets on with picking the team.

You tinker. Sure you're just after a few nibbles from that comment but on the slightest chance you're actually serious I tip me cap. flummoxed :D

Offer of a pre match beer is open pal, think you'd be good value.

Thanks mate, I don't think Madine was anybody's choice of a good signing, so as much as anything all we can do is laugh about and support it. He's not a great player, the stats back that up and even if he does score the chances are that whoever's place he's taken would've put it away. What he can do is win those flicked headers not too dissimilar to McGoldrick's today but McG has had all season and put one in the net (today). On top of that I was surprised to see that Madine was getting almost as many assists as goals so if he scores/sets up 3 goals until the end of the season and that pushes/keeps us in the autos then it was money well spent. I see this as a realistic target unlike some of the other figures banded about. At the end of the day if we could've afforded better we would have got it and like anything else bad the only people who'll be thinking about this in 2 years time will be Blades. If it allows us to at least to get a piece of the Premiership pie it will with good management, get us into that group of teams from Premiership 7th to Championship 6th and that is really important for Sheffield United's future.

As Bernard Manning once said, "if you want to clap for shit like that, that's your own business".

I personally will be doing nothing that makes the swine feel either wanted nor appreciated.

Was relieved with the reaction he got. It wasn’t his type of game per sé but I thought after they brought Smith on we might have brought Madine on for set pieces. But it never really panned out that way.

Leon did well, got in behind a few times against an organised defence and helped to keep the ball in their half.

Looking forward to seeing Madine, I think he will be invaluable against Swansea because they definitely have frailties he can exploit.

I don't agree with signing him but won't boo him, that's beyond stupid but won't clap him either, I didn't go today because I couldn't cope with everyone goin on about him so hopefully he's forgotten about by the next home game!

Back of the Kop was funny today.

"Madine's coming on!"

Nope, that's Kieron Dowell.

"Here we are, fucking Madine coming on!"

Nope, that's Richard Stearman. :D

We didn't need him today. Expect to see him come on against Swansea. When we're 5-0 up.

Are you on crack?

There was the odd grumble today, but overall Madine and the club will have been delighted by that reception.
