Not being rude but why were they at the game? Obviously I know they were in England because of the game last night but why did they decide to go to our game today?

More importantly how did they get tickets because I’ve read on here that even our own fans can’t buy them without a certain amount of points 😂
Funny thing is my lad sits next to my dad but he moved his ticket to the kop. A bloke sat there who was an Oxford fan who happened to be up on an orienteering trip.
I thought the same though as to how he got his ticket.

It's more common than you might think.

I live in Manchester and bumped into a group of Icelandic lads who come over for a Man United game once a season, they always look for another game within reach so chose to come to our home game against West Ham in 19/20. We ended up going for a few drinks when we got back off the train.

Some people might regard any sort of visiting fan as a plastic or a piss taker but the groups that do this sort of thing aren't like that.

They put £££ through the tills in the club shop and made an effort to understand the club. We still keep in touch now. They went to a Crewe game when they came over this season

That's what these lads did, few of them was wearing sufc hats and merchandise.

This is why tickets should be more viable.

Me and my lad (lives in Scotland) needed a football fix after the coronation and ended up at Bonnyrigg Rose. Met lads from Leicester, West Ham and Sunderland. Been several times since too.

Me and my wife have been lucky enough to do several Euro trips, sightseeing, food and a game and it's a real antidote to the bang average experience of the game here, including BDTBL.
Never have any grief, fans mixing and drinking together and cracking atmospheres

We've a lot to learn, or remember again, about how to treat supporters
