There may well be a spanner in the works regards signing Freeman.
It seems that only us and Leeds were interested in him.

Obviously Leeds can’t offer PL football and can’t compete financially with us
BUT they have now just sold their version of David Brooks (young talented winger Jack Clarke) to Spurs for 10 million, I’ve heard Spurs are doing a deal similar to what they said about Kyle Walker and loaning him back to Leeds for a season.
Would suspect most of that will be re-invested on players, so Leeds might push the boat out to make a big offer to QPR and the player.

Why not just say who it is? If they are at the Lane then I can't see how it would scupper anything now.

No fun in that at all...

I see Joe Day’s just been announced at Cardiff along with two other signings. Could we be in for Neil Etheridge?

It was Dean Hammond, I saw him being carried in a sedan chair as he still cant walk. I was just tekkin me shoes off int car park to chuck at him but got accosted by one of his contract goons.

Who's wasted a week of training?

No one - It would be stupid if we don’t sign a player because we are waiting to launch a kit.

I’m saying you would want to get the player in and used to the team rather than delaying and launching with a new kit

Who says the player/s isn't/arent, ;) there already, and the kit launch is the perfect time to announce it, as they really need to be holding the new shirt.....

Any good news coming out of clubs is good. The more good news there is, the better for building positivity and a sense of excitement with fans.
So with that in mind, why would any club delay a player signed announcement to coincide with a shirt launch?
You announce the player straight away. Even if it’s the day before the kit launch. Then you have 2 days of good news rather than one!

Same player can always pop along to the bloody kit launch if it’s that important!

Every other season SU try to build excitement and positivity to boost ticket sales
But this year every game will be near enough a sell out anyway.
I agree that signings might already be in th4 bag but not announced until the new kit launch
And it’s extra publicity for the kit and shirt sponsor.
