Who of the newbies, has consistently demonstrated performance levels at the required (PL) standard ?

This should be good 😂.

Individual performances wise there's only 7 players who have performed consistently, week-in, week-out:

Henderson
Baldock
Basham
Egan
JOC
Stevens
Norwood
Fleck

Every player has played their part for the team though when called upon. Many of the new signings have been kept out by the unbelievable performances of the players above - Osborn and Freeman are two examples.

To answer your question - McBurnie and Mousset are the 2 players that have offered most to the team.

Mousset for the number of goals he's scored in key games - he has single handedly won us 5pts with his goals (3 v Arsenal, 1 at Wolves 1 at West Ham). 5pts is nearly 12% of our points tally.
Those don't include the goal at Everton and 1 v Man Utd.

McBurnie, whilst not scoring as many, has scored the only goal in 2 games (Brighton and West Ham), winning us 6pts. McBurnie also scored the decisive goal in the Man Utd game to rescue the point. So McBurnie has contributed to 7 of our 43 League pts (16%). (McBurnie also had a VERY dubious goal ruled out v Southampton which would've gained us another point.)

So between those two players, they have brought in 28% of our League points.

Without those 13pts, we would be sitting 15th. 5pts above the drop.

I'd say that's £30m well spent

EDIT - Mousset should have also been given the goal at Chelsea.

No one needs me to bang on about this any more than I have already, but this.

He is the one player I wanted us to sign on the budget we had, he was the best we could've asked for in his role and has been consistent for years.

We HAVE to give him a chance. We can't be left wondering what if.

Sigh.

Another way of getting a dig in at Wilder for not using him more as per the usual agenda.

WUM post (again).😉.
