We had a poor day today. Luckily we nicked a late goal and its only half time in the tie. All to play for at the City Ground.

United were due their shit performance. Hopefully we've got it out of the way now and will be a lot better in the return.
 
Unlucky we’re not 1-0 up as well , 1st goal Osbornes slip and it deflected to their man and the second … yes Egan f’ed up but how spozzy was it to deflect straight the Johnson 20 yards away ?
 
Wes definitely MOTM I think you meant. Kept us in it particularly in the first half. Yes forest should have have 5 or 6 but how many did they get? 2. And we have 1. So it's up for grabs at the city ground on Tuesday. Still think they'll have too much for us but it's far from a foregone conclusion, Berge's goal the proverbial lifeline!
 
We were awful between 30-45 but it was pretty even apart from that. Better side second half until Egan gave them a goal

We've looked better recently when we've attacked from the off. I don't think it works when we try to play tactically. Pressure is on Forest. They're at home and have a foot in Wembley. Attack, attack, attack is the only option imo.
 
We didn't really get our passing game going today. Plenty of crosses and throw-ins into the danger zone but no one there. They restricted us away from our recent style of play with very quick closing down and tight marking. Thought they had a bit more guile and aggression. Their breakaways tore through us and there was a sense they could score with every attack when they picked it up in midfield. However, you never know we may be more of a match on Tuesday and frustrate them a bit, if, IF, we score first it could get interesting.

That's exactly what we shouldn't do, they'll just pick us off again on the break and it'll all over after 20 mins.
We've got to keep it tight, stay in the game and hope for a break or a it bit of MGW or Ndiaye magic.

Maybe. It's a tall order. But this team could do it.

Been said earlier that they were mostly routine saves for Wes , by the same token Egan should have scored

Stink the place out for 65 minutes. Get their fans nervous and then go for it. If we go from the start we lose heavily.

Last game and a half have been good. Todays performance has happened A LOT all season. We werent due anything. Today has been the norm since christmas
 
I don’t think every time you lose you’re shit and every time you lose you’re great. I thought we played well overall and had some really good spells without scoring. They played the game better, defended well and took their chances.

That goal’s huge but it will take a very big performance to win it now.

Tactical cock-up for my money - it was always obvious that the main threat would be from Spence and Johnson, and they were killing us down that flank. When Osborne came across the threat was reduced. If we can deal with that in the 2nd leg then we're in with a shout.
 
I'm all for attacking from the off but we have to cut out the sloppy passing. 5, 10 , 15 yards passing was Sunday league at best. Up the tempo and don't let off the gas til it's won.
 



It’s on. Their fans singing about Wembley before it was even half time in the tie. We got lucky today but this could be a match for the legend book.
