Based in the south you can accuse me of bias but you can't beat QPR for a great away day. Decent boozers, nice tight little ground with a good atmosphere and great memories of the Ooh Ahh Bob Booker and the 3-0 Cup win type results !
QPR is indeed a great day out, the only downside is the allocation could be a bit bigger.

Villa is a good away day but Birmingham always seems to be a shit one. How I came to that conclusion when it's in the same city, fuck knows!:)

And I won't be stepping foot in the sty either at anywhere near those prices. We should put a beam back on for that game and piss the fuckers reyt off! :D

I am looking forward to Norwich and Ipswich, and trips to the big smoke for the likes of Brentford, QPR and maybe Fulham. Then there are the East Midlands games against Derby and Forest.

I hope Southend go up as that was an enjoyable away day. Cockles and beer in Leigh-on-sea a must before the game.

Can't wait to see the fixture list.

Beam back free and get bigger crowd ha !!

Can't say I rate the QPR experience myself. Crappy little ground with no atmosphere.Awful to get to if going by car. Bang in the middle (well slightly to the West) of London. No thanks.

Norwich for me. Nice part of the country. Good atmosphere in the ground. Great pubs like the Fat Cat. Lovely city to look around.

But always enjoy Derby too. Easy trip. Good ground with atmosphere. Great pubs.

I like the games against Derby. Big crowds, good atmosphere and unlike many sets of supporters in the region, Derby fans aren't complete and utter cunts.
Disagree about Derby TD , I remember an FA Cup game back in the day ,
when Derby tried it on strong coming at us in the South stand in big numbers ,
it was chaos , almost got clocked by a pool ball thrown by them .

It'll be nice to go to some proper grounds again, in cities, like our own. Sick of going to Oldham etc.

I wouldn't rule out Southend either. Quality day out this season, I'd enjoy another trip out there.

Apropos of not very much, but EasyJet now fly into "London Southend". In their inflight magazine they always give useful pieces of information about transport to the city centre and for London Southend it says "Taxi: £100 approx." Or to put it another way, probably a lot more than the flight cost :-)

They tried to divert us there on a coach from London City when City was fogbound and we were trying to get to Holland for work. Sod that for a game of soldiers, we got our bags off the coach and spent the day in various pubs (and got found out when they rang afternoon last orders in the Prospect of Whitby when we were on a call).
