Lots of positives

Thank you, I finally found someone with a brain. Thank you for actually watching the game

On another day that finishes differently, yes some bad decisions made but hindsight is a clever thing, the good news IMO Swindon will have watch our last 2 away performances we will be approaching Monday in a totally different fashion.

The game swung on one decision -replacing Brayford with Basham.
We bossed the first half with Bash in midfield but looked a shadow in the second half without him. Alcock should have come on for Brayford and it would've been a completely different game. Yet another one of Cloughs stupid substitutions

We bossed the first twenty minutes, but they had already worked out our lack of pace with Coutts and Holt in the middle and were already out playing us for the last twenty minutes of the first half before we moved Basham, although everyone agrees that made it worse.

The second half was dreadful ( but no more dreadful than a dozen or more other games this season ) until Done livend things up a bit.

We can't defend corners and everyone here knows why we can't.

In fact Clough knows why we can't defend corners but he is just too bloody stubborn to do anything about it plus it is now too late in the season.

Don't play with any recognised centre halves for vast majority of season and we're surprised we can't defend that well. I'm not sure we had a single natural centre half in the squad tonight, happy to be corrected, but if that's correct then only 1 person to blame.

Clough thinks Basham is one.

I'm not gonna blame Clough, as the game plan was perfect, however I think brining on Scougall was a massive mistake

Then you unfortunately have to blame Clough. He planned the changes and decides who sits on the bench .Don't Morgan and Garner talk to him.

Couldn't agree more. I would start Alcock there to be honest, I always want the better players to play in their favoured positions. That way bash and Brayford could both shine, and Alcock is better in the centre than on the right anyway.

We all know that and we would have all brought Alcock on . Wonder if Clough will be asked the question .

Was Alcock carrying a knock.

If so , why on the bench.

Tactically wrong again . Why .

All see the game differently. I thought Swindon looked like they were going to score with every attack. I said at half time we would lose and was not surprised with the eventual result. Really surprised people think we were the better side but thats football.

Swindon outplayed us, Clough said in his post match he expected them to have the majority of possession, really can't see the logic in letting a team have the ball, control midfield, attack at will and have shooting practice when they sight goal.Once again we gave away 2 very sloppy goals.
It's not over but think we need a QPR type performance and result on Monday.

Yes true, but you can see why he brought him on, however he wasn't ready and wasn't match fit. Maybe Nigel is to blame

You actually did say perfect. Ofc a full back was marking their goalscorer, its all we have in the back 4!
thank for proving my point, I believe I said that a fullback was marking him and not a the cb like Brayford and mcevely and I didn't say perdect

Really??? What fucking game were you watching??? We were the better team until we scored. Then we were dreadful until done came on.
Yes and between those two moments was this time length called about 20 mins . You don't need a genius to see that and they didn't dominate, we created more chances, yes they had more possession, but sort from the goals, they did less with that possession than us. Just asking, are you sure you weren't down the road at Chesterfield?

Story of the season. Creating loads of chances and we have our top scorer on the bench (even though in a rare start at the weekend he scores). Defensive frailties (because we don't have any centre backs) lead to both goals. To be fair the lads gave it a go, but our lack of a central defensive pair, lack of a settled midfield, and no settled up front pairing once again showed. Swindon were there for the taking, and even with a shit ref, we simply weren't good enough.
Just to put you straight our top scorer was on the pitch, rochdale's was on our bench

Yes!!!!! Another person who watched the game and wasn't watching the election updates

Just to reiterate the ref was wank but when you're on the pitch you can do certain things to influence the ref and Swindon played him to a tee, if we don't learn some of the dark arts of the game we'll be blaming the refs every week. We have too many weak players on the pitch that don't help us in this respect which can only be down to the management of the club as a whole, now until this is sorted we won't be talking about too many positives unfortunately.

Just to put you straight Mcnulty was on our bench mate;) and i don't know what the lad has to do to get on the fucking pitch, maybe give Nigel a 5 knuckle shuffle, even that might not suffice.
go on loan to Derby for a while??

We let them come on at us at will for the part of the second half. If we'd kept playing like we did for the first 20 odd minutes, we'd have won.

Sorry Ashton, got to disagree slightly. Game plan in first half was perfect. Tactical change in 2nd half by dropping deep and allowing their midfield to have the ball was a disaster.

For me the game was a 90 minute summary of Clough's reign at BDTBL. 1st half was like last season - positive and entertaining, 2nd half was this season - negative and clueless.

Quote from NC - ""We have had trouble with corners all season, largely down to size, but if someone doesn't do his job properly then you will concede a goal."

He says this as though its a profound and new insight, but its been staring him in the face all ruddy season. After the CH disaster zone he has presided over he cannot hold the confidence of any reasonable person in terms of squad and team building. That and the Scougall substitution last night says it all for me. A resignation letter should be penned on Tuesday morning if he cannot turn this around on Monday. No way does he deserve or should get a pay-off.

You are right, but i meant in the league.
