Goal threats all game
Many chances created
No away goal rule

But that corner defending should have been sorted out my now, and those goals were save able and blockable. Players weren't throwing themselves at the ball and putting in those tackles

I will give credit to freeman, Murphy, Davies for their effort and Flynn at times and done for his impact to the game

Yes credit to those players but we can not afford to miss those chances

I'm not gonna blame Clough, as the game plan was perfect, however I think brining on Scougall was a massive mistake

Game plan was perfect? Sit back after we score after 20 minutes, at home? That has never and will never be a good game plan. And also you might find the corner issue is something to do with us not playing a single recognised centre half.

Yeah exactly can't blame the manager for shit refs, injured players and missing sitters should have won that game, if Davies scores we win IMO. Thought scougall was poor he also missed a good chance.

It was so similar to plenty of home matches this season that the problems with the team are clearly down to Clough.

Firstly I didn't say perfect, I said that wasn't the problem. Secondly a full back was marking the goalscorer, so even with a cb that goal would have gone in

I'm uniteds biggest critic but I feel quote positive.
The handball was a penalty.
Flynn was two footed in the box.
We lost our captain.
There was NOTHING wrong with Dones goal.
Davies was a millimetre off scoring.
Every player gave their all.
We only conceded because we went for the win.

I know, we can't defend or score from corners, and their second goal was a joke but I liked our approach.

Thank you, I finally found someone with a brain. Thank you for actually watching the game

Thank you another person, who watched the game. Thank you

Great first 20 mins. Sat back as usual after scoring and they got on top for a long spell. We improved late on after Done came on.

Too negative after we went in front. That's Clough for you. And gave away two really poor goals.

Overall not good enough
Great support let down again.

You actually did say perfect. Ofc a full back was marking their goalscorer, its all we have in the back 4!

Story of the season. Creating loads of chances and we have our top scorer on the bench (even though in a rare start at the weekend he scores). Defensive frailties (because we don't have any centre backs) lead to both goals. To be fair the lads gave it a go, but our lack of a central defensive pair, lack of a settled midfield, and no settled up front pairing once again showed. Swindon were there for the taking, and even with a shit ref, we simply weren't good enough.

This is how I saw it. I'm sick and tired of seeing the same mistakes in almost every game.

The game swung on one decision -replacing Brayford with Basham.
We bossed the first half with Bash in midfield but looked a shadow in the second half without him. Alcock should have come on for Brayford and it would've been a completely different game. Yet another one of Cloughs stupid substitutions

Couldn't agree more. I would start Alcock there to be honest, I always want the better players to play in their favoured positions. That way bash and Brayford could both shine, and Alcock is better in the centre than on the right anyway.

I can't blame the players who tried hard, but until we get a strong spine to the team we aren't going anywhere. I thought we were the better team but the ref made 3 decisions in particular that hurt us, the non penalty, the Done goal and bringing back play for the booking, it was a game we could and should have won, losing Brayford exposed once again the unbalanced squad, we missed Basham from midfield in the 2nd half.

The only positive to take from this game is that when we released the handbrake after 70 minutes and brought Done on, they looked a bit dodgy at the back. We need to go out them with an attacking formation from the off on Monday.

It is key though in my opinion that either McGahey or Collins MUST play so we give ourselves a chance of not giving away the usual gol from a cross/corner!
