Loosing interest?

Of you're loosing interest then maybe pursue another hobby.

Scrabble could be fun, imagine some of your spelling on triple word scores.

Boom, that's 500 points biches ;)

Max, unfortunately being a blade means you have to accept it's a fkin life sentence, win, lose or lose

Being let down year after year, being miserable and wanting to kick the cat almost every weekend is all part and parcel I'm afraid. Part of growing up is learning to live with that fkin noose around your neck. Stick wi it buddy and just remember, it doesn't get much worse than this, so therefore it can only get better ....................honest!

WEMB? MHO? OE?...I'm lost for words.

Well done to you, I've packed in the home games for this season as well.

For every person through those gates, McCabe is getting what he wants and the club gets that bit more unlikely to move forward.

As has previuosly been stated Beer makes watching The Blades easier
I should know Ive done it for over 40 years
The pre and post match Beers home and away are most enjoyable sometimes the games not too bad either

It's always darkest before the dawn.

I keep expecting us to turn a corner and put a run together.

But it's been a bit of a wait. I think the fundamentals are in place and everything stems from that.

If Adkins doesn't take us up I can see us being here for a very long time.

I am 16 years old and am starting to loose interest in going to watch United play. Now I know many of the older generation etc are going to say get use to it and stuff but the thing is when we score a goal at home whether it be a derby or not I don't celebrate with passion anymore! The sad thing is I don't ever look forward to going anymore at all because it's just not worth the money. The atmosphere is poor which is why i'm considering selling my season ticket and going to just away games. Is this a sign of me loosing interest or just giving up?
That you Kip? If so, it's the loosing that gave you away.!!

Losing finalist was a Sheffield lad (probably in his twenties now) Lewis Mackay. (At least I think that's how you spell his name...)

He's lost in the final before. Not sure if he's ever been World Champion, but an unsung local hero either way - though I imagine he's happy with zero publicity.

Don't be daft young man - this is what it is like.

We are Blades.................for life !

We'll turn it round - just hang on in there..........and as for the previous mention of the fairer sex..........go for that too - just don't park the Blades up permanently.

If you're only 16, when did you enjoy watching United?
We've been shit for most of the time you'll have remembered watching us.

Mate !! ....... being a Blade is in the genes not a lifestyle choice.

We're not like the scummy arrogant piggy bastards who crawl out from under stones every time they put a good run together ...... who then tell everyone "well I've always supported Wendy" !!
Were tougher than that and we put up with it through the bad times, the hard grind, the shit Board(s), the crap Managers, the bloody clueless players .......
But we ALWAYS support SUFC through good times and bad, even though we all moan like old women :D

Think of the simple pleasures in life like Billy actually scoring, Wallace staying on the pitch for an hour, Scougal not falling down for 5 minutes and our defence keeping a clean sheet. Try not to set your expectations too high and hope for a top half finish, but always remember this one thing ....

It COULD be sooooo much worse ...... you could have been a PIG and that would be the stuff that nightmares are made of.

Now go and find yourself a naughty little tart who's a Blades fan and bring her to the match with you .......... :p

That's exactly what you should be doing at that age. I lost interest when I was about 17. I couldn't use my Junior Blades card anymore and it had become expensive, just at a time when I could get served in pubs. Drinking beer won. Particularly after we sold Edwards to Leeds. I'd been brought up on the stories of how we selt Mick Jones and TC to them dirty bastards and I thought 'here we go again'. I should have left it at that and forgotten about the Blades for good. Then we got bloody Bassett...

......... Who a few years later had his star player sold without his blessing to......... Yup, the dirty weeds! At some point in a blades supporters life the one gaurantee is that our club WILL shit on your loyalty. We just learn to live with it

Good on you for supporting United. Most people of your age have gone for the easy option of being glory hunters, Man U, Chelsea etc . I can understand where your coming from but its hard to break the habit. Stick with it Max, remember for all these shit times, there are the Soton, Charlton cup days etc, when it is good to be a Blade.

Agreed. Someone said earlier in the thread that a couple of wins and the mood around the club will change.

Were you thinking of jacking it all in when we'd won 4 in a row? It's just a matter of getting those wins...which might take a while.

maxstertheblade. If you PM me with your details, we can share £200 by switching to Nationwide and their account pays a load of interest.

I think we are going to see quite a lot of drifting away in the next couple of years,
It sounds like we are going to be in rebuilding again once this season ebbs away so if we are not even going to be contending for promotion for two or three seasons only the real die hards are going to renew Season tickets

There are some of us who see this differently and like pretty much every club in the world, of course, at some point we'll sell our best players. It's not a betrayal or anything close.

If you don't want that to happen then go to the top of this food chain and support Real Madrid, and watch them get indigestion as they try and fit all these fantasy players into a workable system, often mistaking a collection of individuals for a team.

Wonder what it's like on their message board: "We need to stop buying everyone's best players" maybe.

Yea but we've been intermittently shit since I've supported them.
And that's a long time!
So what's new?
I know. After 56 years of trailing down to watch them I know there are degrees of shittedness. But this is as bad as we have been for 25 years.
