Exciting to see the squad shape up in the next few weeks once Goode and Jebbison are up to speed and MGW is back from injury…. Not expecting too much from Jebbo, but it’s great having so many young players with potential in the attacking dept, plus Bogle is looking great atm

imo this has the potential to be one of the most entertaining Blades sides since 17/18

Pretty sure Goode is right footed and not used to playing as an overlapping centreback. Takes a while to learn that and buy all accounts not speedy.

Davies will be on the left. If no, I'd assume Robinson if he continues with the same form of the last two games.

I'm very pleased with the Goode signing.

As highly as I rate Egan, the loss of JOC alongside him and disruption of that solid back 5 has left him extra responsible and exposed. One of my main grumbles this season was that Egan needs an experienced, no-nonsense type next to him that doesn't let anything over or through him. Not a household, impressive signing - an Ebanks-Landell model who does the basics very well.

Goode is 6"5, built like a Gorilla with the added bonus of actually looking like hasn't evolved past homo-erectus.

Goode isn't letting anything through him PERIOD! He isn't letting strikers have free headers from free kicks, long throws or corners. He isn't going to be bullied . He will create a fair bit of havoc in opposition penalty areas either through his presence or long through. He isn't up his own arse like Jackie long throw who pretends to be a ball playing centre back. He can carry the ball out of defence and won't be knocked off the ball. He does have the eye for a pass but is a good enough footballer to know when to turn it over to the midfield. He is vocal and a leader He has had to graft as a footballer to get a career. He prefers playing to sitting on the bench A Goode signing on loan Even better if we can get him permanent
