Guillaume Trani...young lad on trial from the Nike Academy. Starts for the U23's today.

Can't say I can find much about him...there's YouTube clip of highlights from last season but it appears to have been edited by a drunk child, so it's not particularly watchable.

That's a bloody strong side.

Video for those bothered. Seems to be a ball-carrying midfielder type.

How old is he?

Glad to see he's still being looked at.

From that video it certainly looks like he can dribble and turn, and carry the ball quite well.

Not sure what position he'd play at professional level. His stature might be an issue. I didn't see enough to suggest he could play number 10 and didn't see enough of his passing ability to suggest he could play deeper, in addition to that he seems very focused on dribbling, which leads me to think he wouldn't be natural in a deeper position where you've got to be more calculated and make good decisions.

That does look like a strong line up today. I'd expect them to win comfortably.

2-1 with around 85 gone. Brooks and McNulty.

Next Messi.

Gerrim signed.

If he doesn't start against Walsall Wilder needs his head looking at.

Sounds like we've had one standout performance (according to one poster who saw that Reading game) and one so-so performance today.

If he's cheap and young he may well be worth a punt. Have to wait and see whether Binnion likes the look of Trani.

Well I guess that just depends on whether he's a pre-op or post-op Trani.

Mentality counts for a lot, youngsters have to have the balls to perform in the professional game. Some just sack it off and dick away their potential. Bringing through a youngster is a snip relative to the cost of a transfer though.
