I’m glad we’re playing Norwich on the Saturday instead of a shit midweek journey.

We’ll also be playing them after their tough run against top teams and hopefully their moral and confidence is low after conceding late goals instead of scoring them.

With Reading, Leeds & Preston all out of the cup none of our games this year will have to be rearranged due to the cup. That has to be a positive.

Today was embarrassing and I may be clutching at straws with the above but we would not have won the cup this year, so why risk the fixture back log and risk injury & suspensions just to go out later in the competition.

I thought I'd be more bothered than I am. Esteemed Forgeblade is fuming, but I'm afraid his dad (me) isn't. Always loved the FA cup, and it's great when things aren't going well league-wise, or if you have a really solid chance of winning it. We don't, and Wilder clearly has other priorities, like many managers now. I was more animated about not beating Wendy, and losing to Leeds than I am about this. Yes, whatever second string side we have should have beaten Barnet, but there have always been cup upsets, we're just on the wrong end of one for a change. Life goes on, as they say, with a really important game next weekend. Well done to Barnet!!!!!

Only bright side is there are no more cup games between now and the end of the season 20 or something games to either get autos or cement our playoff place the players didn't respect Barnet today and got punished for it onto QPR on Saturday
