Am I right in thinking that you'd be there in spirit or would you be in touch with others who were?

I watch through the eyes of many blades legends who have tragically passed away. Although this season I'll save the psychic energy and just pay for ifollow.

After taking in about 10 matches last season decided to get my first season ticket for about 40 years. Just got me wondering which forum season ticket holder travels the furthest to BDTBL. Also which s24su member lives furthest from Bramall Lane. I'm about 1.2 miles away so don't think I'll win any prizes!

By the way I'm a avid reader on the forum but don't post.
Been in Russia for the past 10 years, mostly in Moscow, but coming back to the UK in August. Can't wait!

Was working in Shanghai and cut short my work to fly home for play the off final v Burnley, then back out on the day after feeling like shite.

The 660 mile round trip to watch us lose 3 nil to Southend last season was well ace.

Twenty plus years ago was at Sunderland Uni for a couple of years and had a season ticket for both seasons, got back for most home games, did about a dozen away games the first season, including Piacenza away in the Anglo Italian and 3 the second.

But I would walk 500 miles
and I would walk 500 more

Just to be the fan
who walks a thousand miles
to see us beat the pigs by four

I live 4576 miles away in Canada btw

I live near Alcester - about 100 miles each way. Have a ST and go to most home games - missed one last season.

I drive to Halfway, then in and out on the tram - means a bit longer to let the beer wear off before I have to drive again. Usually carry on up North afterwards to see Mum (who is nearly 97).

As far as ifollow are concerned, I live on the Upper West side of Manhattan though!

Magic

It's away games that are the pain. Ive got 324 miles to do to get to Sunderland. I'm just hoping Sky don't move the match time for those of us reliant on trains.

Home games are easy now the Kent high speed rail link goes to St Pancras. Can get to the lane in just over 4 hours door to door. Makes me realise that growing up in Sheffield 7 and being able to hear the ground (not quite see it) was such a luxury and privilege. You don't notice what you've got until its gone..

I'm actually thinking of buying a small flat as my holiday apartment somewhere near the Lane (possibly even one of those above the new club shop). I'd much rather be taking in the Blade filled S1 air than the polluted atmosphere of some Mediterranean hot spot.

Whitby 110 miles and usually just under two hours.

I also live in LaLaLand according to some on here:D

Have been to most home games since 1956. Played on Saturdays for maybe 8 years in that time, otherwise have travelled from Wharfedale, Harrogate, Northampton, Derby over the years. Foreign holidays also interrupt our seasons these days but travel is our 'retirement project' and United have been crap for long enough. No big holidays planned for this season though. The fire is back in our bellies!!!

Unfortunately I will miss the pigs game in January as I will be cruising round central America in celebration of the wife's 60th birthday.

Missed a game at Hillsborough for her 50th, although we lost that one.

Hoping for a better result this time around.

I live on a comet that's currently nearing the asteroid belt and none of you lot are aware of it. Because fuck humanity and Hillsborough.

I live near Barnsley where it's still the 18th century so although it's 11 miles by train I travel 300 years for matches

You live close to a blade in Evesham who drives to a decent number of games and another blade lives in Pershore. Liked the manhattan bit.

10,555 miles :(

Last game I went to was the pre-season friendly vs Newcastle a couple of years ago and it's nearly 4 since my last competitive fixture.

However! The Gods of annual leave have worked in my favour for this season with an extended Christmas holiday allowing me to take in 4 matches including the steel city derby this coming new year! Can't wait to be back...

I live in Liverpool. The locals are still stuck in the eighties!!!. To quote a line from the original Star Trek!. It's life Jim but not as we know it!!. That's so true about scousers!!. I'll be at all home games so a round trip of about 160 miles!!.
