Over the years our "local" rival clubs appear to have been far better at selecting their managers than we have. So much so that we feel the need every so often to pinch one of them.
Why is it that they seem more able to evaluate potential far better than we can.
Porterfield did well for us after Rotherham lost out; again it was Rotherham who gave us Reg Freeman who won the Second Division title way back when. Admittedly Billy McKewan
didn't come up to snuff but now it appears Doncaster might be targeted for SOD. The worlds a big place. Why are we so parochial?.
