I've heard him mention some perm some not in recent interviews.
The Premier League rules state that you can only loan in 2 players from PL clubs.
We have Hendo, who all being well is going to start 36 league games this year.
We have Besic who is always in the squad and seems to be the go to for resting Norwood.
That's it.
Unless Chris is thinking about out of contract players when he looks at deals.
It's unlikely we will loan from a league below so that would just leave loaning from abroad.
I can see us talking it up but spending little.
Keen Bryan out on loan. Jack Rodwell in on an initial deal to the season's end. Rodwell probably better to cover Bash and Enda would cover JoC.
Emil Bohinen in. Kieron Freeman out. Besic I only learned the other day, has played right back, so another body in midfield wouldn't hurt.
Younousse Sankhare in. Clarke out. Sankhare is a big lad who can play left midfield and would offer cover for Enda and a potential physical presence in midfield. It could be argued he would add depth to covering Fleck with Osborn whilst allowing Freeman to serve more as a deputy to McGoldrick further up the pitch.
I'm expecting this type of low risk signing and to be honest I just wouldn't want to rock the boat.
We still have players like Morrison, Stearman, Billy who have had limited game time so there is no shortage of depth in there.
A goal is not far away for McGoldrick who is getting in good positions and you get the impression that Lys and McBurnie are getting up to speed to provide decent options and that's before we get to Robinson who is taking longer to acclimatise but is not without talent as some of the pre-season displays show.
