Even our loan players are doing well, CW cannot do much wrong at the moment, Paul Holland was that him who played for us? Thanks for your time Roy.

I like Freeman but Brayford is a better player ,this shit about his Daddy is a bit sad really. If we eventually go 4-4-2 Brayford would be a better right back ,no reason Freeman couldn't play in front of him ,but a player of brayfords quality will be difficult to find and fund if we go up.

He's a cracking player and this daddy stuff is nonsense, but I think we'd have to see in the summer if we can shift him on a side as I think he's probably past his best at right back.

That said, in a back three alongside the right players he might do a job

It seems like Whiteman would be very adequate cover for Coutts and Fleck. We really need to commit to keeping him, I think he'd be a really safe bet to give decent contract to. Got a feeling he could be a really big player for us.

Far, far too expensive for a fullback.

I know our opinions differ on the ease of filling that position, but he was too expensive in any position. It was a really big mistake signing him, given the financial backdrop.

UTB

Because he only plays well for his daddy. Freemans stepped up now, we don't need Brayford, he's old news.
Hope he comes back then it will give this clown someone else to moan about beside Basham and a few others, supporter ? Don't make me laugh.:p

You think Whiteman is good enough after half a dozen games in the bottom division ,yet you don't think Brayford is after 300 games at a higher level ??

Of all the players who were tipped as potentially breaking through to the senior team last season , Ben Whiteman always looked to be by far the most promising for me.

Brayford hasn't been good enough since the day we signed him permanently. Certainly not for the money he cost. He's been a good player in the past but has deteriorated and will continue to deteriorate.

Whiteman is a very promising young player, I like what I've seen of him and to go straight into L2 and make such an impact speaks volumes. He's only going to get better, so I'm far more concerned about his future here than I am about Brayford's.
I say he'd be a safe option to give a decent contract to because he's an all rounder, decent physically and has a good attitude.

350k for Whiteman??? We wouldn't would we?

We would n'all wouldn't we.

One of Adkins's few good decisions was to bring him into the midfield and give him some game time there. Sadly this was hampered a bit by switching him to right wingback at Southend when Flynn would have been better to have moved. Looked completely lost, and it seemed to drain the confidence he'd built up till that point.

I really do rate Brayford but Clough gets the best out of him

Judging by those comments Brayford is seemingly impressing at Burton in the championship, I wouldn't say he has deteriorated that much. Granted he was IMO one of, if not the best RB in that league before we signed him but he can still play and play well enough in that division.

Even if he is doing well for Clough do you honestly have any confidence he'd come back here and perform?

We effectively swapped Maguire for Brayford and everybody knows who ended up with the best player

A measure of how dreadfully bad Adkins was is that he persisted with that utter waster (Hammond) after seeing Ben Whiteman do a great job for us in midfield. Ben is a class act, and if we let him go for around £300,000 someone is going to get a real bargain.

Despite a the avatar i don't want brayford back. Freeman has earnt that place and i actually think hes been better this season than brayford was last.

The fact hes spat his dummy out and run to his daddy because he diesnt want to Roll up his sleeves and help us getnout peague 1 l is the end of it for me.

He's dead to me - hope burton go down and we sell him to them so he has to play in league 1 with them next year. Wouldnt care if we gave him away

Fyi - the avatar is more because of the occassion as the player i dont hold in the highest regards.
